I feel like I could rant for hours how stupid current customization is, no premium vehicle customization, just two queues, but at the same time Im too lazy to write that much so pretend that I did.

Probably off topic but are you ever gonna add event slot? The test server only had slot for premium but i remember that the helpers said that the idea would reach the devs.
This feature feels like overcomplicated damage control for our new repair system.
Is it better than original one? No, it is not.
We can’t even have option to choose between Italian and germam soldier while enlisting them for the sake of game not being too complicated and confusing to casual and new players.
Yet meanwhile you are implementing bizarre features like this one. Literally basically nobody asked for this. Original repair system was simple and easy to understand.

But part repair actually gives lower tier tanks (and ATR) the ability to defeat impenetrable opponents, opponents can no longer repair the barrel from the rear of the tank, which has the same effect as actually killing them

I really find it strange that this nonsense has a higher priority than the customization of APCs. Which was promised like 1/3 year back.
They would literally make some money from customization.

Agreed. It would be sexy if this game had rich car interiors and animations.
It would be even better if there were animations like moving a deceased loader out of the way and sitting in that seat himself.
they announced this change when the system was first released tho; said it would be a feature in the future. So “no damage control” really. Also think this update enhances this newer repair system.
So in the bigger picture, I would argue it was worth it to waste resources on this since I like this repair system way more than the old one.

Btw. I don’t even believe this new repair system was intended nerf to tanks. That’s how highly I rate their competence.
Well, I play tanks a lot. And I think this system was completely unnecessary and just a waste of everything (time and resources). Basically, it doesn’t change anything.
And there are so many things that could have been addressed instead.
It’s quite obvious it will increase the survivability.
Just reverse and fix your breach or turret ring without being exposed and killed by ultra-aggressive infantry.
Even though I personally don’t like the fact the tankers will get stronger, but this will definitely increase the chances for, let say, a KT-player to prolong his existence.
No, it doesn’t. It basically only affects turret related things.
You can repair motor, you cant repair tracks. You will as easy stationary target. But you can at least continue to be threat.
Basically supports camping playstyle and making it even more toxic.
But I guess that’s “survivability” from your perspective.
But it won’t give any advantages to grey zone campers lol.
