There are fewer deserters and more campers. The damn campers make me do everything alone. When playing defensive games, I am often the only one near strategic points. Hurry up and cancel the punishment and let them leave. AI is more useful than them.
See this is an example of a good match. both teams had players that tried and attacked the point. Now compare that to a match where I have players refusing to go on the point, ignoring markings for free kills, not building rallypoints/APC’s. It’s night and day for fun and unfun
Because the whole of hte world should be set up exactly teh way you like it and bugger everyone else of course.
TBH the game is better off without those particular people, being the wunch of banker deserters who can’t manage 2 minutes without the world catering to them in every way.
Isnt that exactly what you are advocating ? For example I dont see anyone who admits to desert, asking punishment for those that are the cause of leaving.
Like exp / time penalty for people that fail to get certain score or are constantly everywhere else than in cap point.
But whos going to carry you then ?
Its quite ironic that you demand people to waste 10-20min of theyr time for your pleasure and call people selfish at the sametime.
Let me tell you something. When people start abusing some thing in the game system, and when developers finally start to react and pay attention to it, (although advocates like you continue to speak out for every deserter as it seems lol, even though the devs themselves implement penalties for deserters, which is already ironic in itself) and when those same people suddenly start to voice their “discontent” about it, it gives me cringe vibes.
This is just your personal problem dude, because by running away you ruin the experience for those who stay and play. So shut up and deal with this situation, or find another game.
Damn you got it all wrong, but I guess is ok, the devs should totally listen to you because if people who is not having fun in a game, leaves, it ruins your fun, so the game is about your feelings instead of the majority of players, and of course you would argue that if they are not staying in a doomed match they should just quit the entire game all together, just uninstall, the game is better without those players who want to have fun, honestly your argument is so retarded dude it blows my mind, you are literally asking for the game to remain a niche game that will never be popular, and will be only played by a bunch of dudes that never go out or take a shower, guess what, if you leave that match were everyone else did left, and queue again, thing that you would do after that match anyway, you may get queued in a match with players, instead of staying in a lobby bot, but this may be a wild take for you, maybe even incomprehensible.
Dude, you’re just writing some sh…t in circles and squares. Let’s get back to the point. Maybe you should check why the devs finally implemented deserter penalties? People have been trying to open this issue for devs for years now, but people like you suddenly become very triggered, just showing how this problem existed. Congratulations.
Why do you have to bang your head against the wall every day when you log in to Enlisted? Why do you have to suffer like this, maybe you’re a sadomasochist? Take my advice, which I’ll emphasize again - find another game.
Yes, because you are not this type of player, you don’t need to consider their gaming experience. Just like some guys can say without hesitation, ‘The profit is too high’ after grinding the technology tree.
Do I have to resort to ‘camping punishment’ and ‘vehicle punishment’ just because I hate campers and vehicle players? What more punishment do we need?
I am surprised that as players, why do some people always demand negative things to ruin the gaming experience of other players? Why not ask for some encouragement measures?
Ironically, some guys think that deserters caused them to lose the game, and now campers still cause them to lose the game. Even if we can prevent deserters, what can be done to stop camping?Guess why I’ve been asking for rewards that encourage players to stay?
Personally, I’m sort of leaning toward the penalty not achieving its goal … but not on its own. the reason it was held back was to make a solution for many reasons people leave such as the map and mode filter. Unfortunately, the map and mode filter we got doesnt work as it needs to.
It needed to be just like the custom mode map and mode filter. We were told that we needed this so the information was provided on what maps and modes were not desired … however the fact that they are not being chosen should be information enough for that. The limit of the amount of maps and modes also hurts this function, as the fact that there is a limit means that incomplete data would be provided.
While I agree that desertion leads to worse outcomes for those that remain, the root cause isnt being address properly.
Proper Maps and Mode Preferences would fix for those that leave immediately … where they would be filled by players still.
Those that leave because of losing battles or bad teammates already take a desertion penalty for that battle, increasing that penalty over two games is nothing in the grand scheme of things.
Losing Battles can still be fun imo, as such those that leave because they are losing … should just need a desertion rate statistic in the stat page. That way the portion that do it for stat reasons, can’t do it reliably anymore. The ones that do it less for such things as a blatant cheater or something, would be less effected.
Next you have the bad teammates. . . IMO, this just comes from an entire woefully inadequate new player experience in this game. The New Player Experience needs an entire overhaul with emphasis toward rewarding team play (such as getting on the objective or building rally points / parking MRP’s). Also getting engineers into their hands earlier as a reward would greatly improve it. Expanding new player matchmaking so its more than 2 matches would help (that way new players aren’t just roflstomped immediately after). Let them at least complete Tier 1 of a faction before going to main matchmaking, with an option to join main matchmaking early if they are just destroying lobbies.
When you start them with no engineers, and no direction and then put them in main matchmaking without them, you are just feeding most of them to the lions.
I’ve made suggestions to improve NPE in the past … its becoming, if not already is, the biggest need for this game … not new weapons and vehicles (though Japan needs BR V Attack plane like now cough cough*).
