retarded is to leave the game for idiotic reasons, asking the developers to indulge you so that you don’t leave the game.
that is, the game itself is no longer enough, you need to create special conditions, right? if so, then you don’t like the game anymore and it’s time to delete it. a compelling argument.
I don’t personally care anymore, 20% penalty doesn’t effect me if I choose to desert as I have pretty much all my squads and TT’s completed, so penalize and hurt the new people. I think since the new penalty system has been imposed, I have played about 18 games and deserted once, which was when my power went off, and was penalized for living in a country with a weak power grid.
Way to go Gaijin, I f^^ked up, I’m sorry I did not stay in the US where I had reliable power and internet, my bad.
But in all seriousness, this isn’t changing a thing, and I still see the same amount of deserters every game.
“Why do I have to make my bed if I am going to sleep on it later anyway?” “Why do I have to take a bath if I am going to get dirty anyway?”
That’s the kind of argument that you are doing.
Why you quit if you do not enjoy the game just go ahead and uninstall. Literally if this is your way of arguing your opinion has literally 0 value, you don’t bring anything to the conversation.
“Pfft you want to have fun? what a fucking loser haha”
so you ask your mom for a gift to do it, since you yourself are not able to do it
I am a gamer, so I never take a bath obviously - bad example.
Are map vote systems still foreign in Soviet Russia?
I am a gamer to…
I’ve never understood deserters. In the sense that they go from one battle to another until they “finally” find a match that suits them, where they dominate and everything goes well, and then they feel like great players.
What’s the difference if you join a battle that is completely beneficial to the opposing side, just raise your personal levels, get xp, be first in the table on the losing team, do as much “mental” damage as possible to the opposing stack team, leaving mines in strange places, and so on. Isn’t that fun
First of all you are assuming that desertion is due to get a match where you “dominate”. I do not understand this argument.
We are looking for a map and gamemode that is enjoyable instead of a frustrating slog that takes up half our day.
There’s no guarantee of winning or getting a bunch of kills. My squadmate and I have had matches where we didnt get as many kills as we’d like and we sure as hell werent ‘dominating’ anyone but we enjoyed ourselves.
I’m not sure at what point playing a computer game for FUN and having a LIFE outside computer games became such a foreign concept to you all.
If your idea of fun is spending over an hour when youre tired and have important stuff to do going back and forth back and forth between the same bloody objective because the stupid team wont build rallypoints to capture the last objective, very well.
But for myself, my squadmate, and many other players that is not fun at all. It is an absolute waste of time and why on earth play an FPS if youre becoming frustrated and bored?? Might as well go fill out your tax return.
Some people also get kicked out of the game because the internet goes down.
My squadmate had this recently, we are not sure what the problem was we both were ‘joining’ a match and while I got in successfully and was playing normally, my squadmate’s screen was frozen in a perpetual loading loop.
Now the whole point I play Enlisted is I do it with friends and family so of course I left the game Id got into so we could try again and be in the same match.
Why should we be punished for multiple days because of DF server issues?
Another time I was playing and a family member wanted help with something in the same room. I put my soldiers someplace safe and wheeled over to assist them. This wouldnt have taken more than a minute.
I wheel back and sure enough Id been ‘kicked for inactivity’.
Every other game Ive played has a reasonable time of idle activity for those called away, had to use the bathroom, knock at the door, whatever.
Again I cannot understand why I have to explain these ordinary facts of life to supposedly mature people. Like my squadmate is almost guaranteed to get important business calls whenever we play Enlisted. It doesnt matter what time we play, it’s just Murphy’s Law.
You swines think he should ignore those important business calls and focus on a childish computer game…
Hell Let Loose rewards people for staying until the end of the match instead of chucking a tantrum at us adults in the room who cant spend 24/7/365 playing FPS games.
Anyone who thinks we should be penalising desertions needs to GROW UP.
Oh and by the way, that tiny tiny minority of noobs who do just rage quit when they get killed once? Guess what, those people are still going to desert no matter what you do. But your ridiculous crusade against this minority of fools who should just be ignored instead ruins the game experience for everyone else.
You’re at least as off base as those you are ranting about. I mean look at you, lashing out at those “chucking a tantrum.” Read your own post? It’s a massive tantrum.
I think deserters have been a serious issue and don’t think this will sufficiently fix it. I’d prefer fixing problems and rewarding those who stay, but it is what it is for now. My proposal is actually to take (all) XP from deserters and divide it proportionally amongst those who stay. And, that people who desert early but do it over and over (some percentage of the time) get a more stiff penalty.
As for “half the day,” and “24/7/365” you’re really stretching your credibility with the exaggeration.
I play a LOT of Enlisted but I also have a life and am grown up yet I’m on the opposite side of the argument as you. If I get an important business call, I desert the game. I’ll take the 20% XP hit like a grown person rather than lashing out. Sage advice would be to stop assuming that everyone who disagrees with you on topics of Enlisted is not grown up or has no life.
Objectively and literally untrue.
The game does not change - how you play, your weapon stats, your own gameplay - none of that changes from the penalty.
What changes is you don’t get rewarded for a dubious behaviour.
but there are 2 things also objectively wrong with the system:
1/ People with lots of SL can just ignore it - got 100k or more SL in hte bank - what do you care if you lose 20% of your next 2 games??
2/ The rejoin system needs to work properly for net/software/hardware failures - I got kicked due software failure yesterday and would hav been happy to rejoin - didn’t get the option, so I got the penalty. I’ve got 500k in hte bank - so didn’t care.
IMO an improvement would be to delay people joining hte next game - desert? That’;s a 2 minute rejoin penalty.
Penalty decreases by 1 minute per game completed.
Penalty INCREASES 1 minute for each game deserted until penalty is cleared.
Desert the next game? 3 minute penalty. Finish that one - back to 2 minutes… etc.
Can’t wait around 3 minutes folr a game? then you need to go outside and feel hte grasss or count hte stars for a bit anyway!
Alternatively don’t desert!
Something like this is at least agnostic to experience or SL balance
it is not about find a match that suits, Its about play in a map i want, even if i the one and only one who make rally point as long as it Moscow i will stay, i just want to play Moscow only map, whatever gamemode is fine for me as long as it Moscow, if its not Moscow i will desert. and -20% is nothing i will take it.
I’d uninstall the game if a system like this would be put in place
sometimes i desert for 30mins straight, considering the average searching for a game is 3 minutes for me thats only 10 games of which half are conquests.
this is a game im here to have fun, its not the player bases fault that the devs arent listening, if they gave us what was said or fixed half the stuff within a timely manner things like a proper desertion penalty would be fine, but not the current state of the game.
this new system does not affect me in the slightest since theres been nothing to grind for in 18+ months… Saying that, releasing a new nation it may affect the progress slightly but id still grind thru it.
sidenote: the devs did listen to players on giving a desertion penalty but it was far too late into the games life to of had an affect on the playerbase, everyones already done/given up on the game already, its just a new player issue
To sum up your long post.
And seriously, you can explain to me however you want, I will never believe that desertion is somehow based on a person’s desire to fight a “bad game system”. (By the way, they will sure fix things like penalties for server crashes and the like)
You have to ask yourself why you don’t like certain map designs and stacks teams? Because you can’t adapt and are looking for a suitable option for yourself and only then is it “fun” for you. Isn’t it the other way around that you play the game because it’s generally fun for you in any case, and in any map or situation you will find a way to raise your levels and enjoy the game - if you’re suffering like this, I advise you to look for another “perfect” game.
I’m not defending developers, a lot of work is needed to fix certain maps and the like, but just don’t start explaining to me that you are some kind of revolutionary.
People like you spoil the entire narrative of the game for those players who try to stay. You know, everyone has their own favorite and least favorite maps, or should those who stay suffer because of your personal desires? Deserters are worse than cheaters, people who are unable to adapt. And if it’s that hard for you, just don’t play this game.

It kinda is because most deserters desert due to maps they dont want but game forces them to play.
But we cant ask question, we need to consoom. We canr fox core issues because that means product is wrong and product cant be good if we consoom it.
Pretty sure the newbie plebs adapt greatly when they face EVA stacks every second game.
Or they quit… well most will quit.
But not game’s fault. They didnt consoom errr adapt enough.
Yeah, victim blaming.
Stop wearing skimpy outfits, you slut, and stop quitting Reverse D-Day. Its a great map, you just dont adapt enough.
Dont fix Assault, just adapt.
And bring back the shitty train mode nobody liked, everyone just need to adapt.
Nice that you tell us what fun is for us.
Because I guess you know it better than us what we want.
And dont ask why we still cant afford five seperate BR brackets after five years.
No, you are just telling people to go back to Mexico for asking stuff that exists in other games for like 20 years now and that people just need to adapt to shitty maps.
That ship is sailed.
Lol Just adapt, bro.
Or cant you adapt?
Most people who try to start are not even long enough in the game or visit the forum.
Nobody forces them to stay either, most of the time people get replaced anyways and big shocker but you play video games for personal desire.
Like you?
Do NOT fix FW flight models. Just adapt. And buy next product, especially if it is a FW.
Perhaps they should focus on the issue why people desert rather than throw in a bandaid that does absolutely nothing.
Irony here is that fair share of people that admits to desert due to gamemode, one-sided games or for what ever reason are already quite far in TT.
I personally cant care less of this penalty, im not going to waste my time with console teams or conquest.
Already got fair share of TT unlocked.
But, thank god those new players doesnt have same luxury. Im sure ~9 games in row against stacks in a game without anykind of sbmm does make the game alot more enjoyable.
