Tank sights should definitely be more realistic and should differ between tanks. For more information, click on this post I made during CBT:
In case of damage indicator for tanks, it’s not realistic so that’s probably why @73359070 suggested this
But in my honest opinion, I will implement this only if certain tanks like puma get fixed and we should get a tutorial where new players can learn to shoot at weakspots
I will also give a penetration indicator the main menu so players can always look where to shoot and where not
If these things don’t get added, I think removing damage indicators might not be a good idea
Nah a lot of the realistic sights were dogshit and I know that this would be unplayable for new players.
Maybe only leave the pen indicator for low pen tanks though since all the big gun tanks do fine.
The tank penetrations are bugged, because when you use the AP shells and the reticle is on green, on the impact cam they show a ricochet, so i will like to now what the actual penetration for the shells are, because its seems that is set like to 30% of the actual penetration, because a puma can’t ricochet a 45mm cannon shoot from the side, and it does (puma bias?), it’s a shame that comming from warthunder, the vehicles guns are so bad made…
sorry still kinda of waking up and i meant penetration indicator, but yeah you did misunderstand anyways because i was only talking about that one specific feature that only works on vehicles, AA guns, and AT guns
You mean the green/orange/red marker then? That is the penetration indicator, which I thought you were referring to.
The damage indicator is that hit cam top right when you shoot something and you can see what stuff you damaged.
The thing with the penetration indicator is that it only pops up if you aim at something, meaning that it can spot a tank through 10 bushes for you even though you’d have no way of seeing it yourself.
