or give it to both sides, otherwise I wont waste my time getting my XP gain slaughtered and quit any match we aren’t obviously going to win and start a new one.
Other options include
Giving top performers of the losing team the victory bonus.
Giving a smaller XP buff to the faction that is underpopulated.
Tbh I have zero problem playing by myself with bots against a mostly human team , I have no problem losing. Unfortuantely I have zero incentive to do so.

Maybe bonuses XP gain should be based solely on kills ??? The thought that this is what contributes to a team but then if you lock down a flank and its quiet but ya prevent the seldom squad from flanking this may be essential too but then ya don’t get many kills …
Maybe plane kills should count as 1/4 each … (this outta get a rise out of some of em )

i can guess you’re probably one of many that makes lots of kills, but literal almost no cap points.
( luckely, we will never know as those are just my guesses and remain as such ).
well, i ain’t here to brag, but it’s not hard to do anything even with a team made full out of bots.
i always look at the bright side, more targets for me

OP, I disagree.
Give the bonus to the top 3 on the losing team instead of removing it outright.
Also, I already do this. I progress much faster now that I just quit out of obvious losses and just pick up a better match. Never forget going AFK for 3 minutes and when I came back I was still #1 on my team.

yup. I agree. I’m in the top 3 90% of my matches anyway.
I am progressing much faster as well by not trying to carry bots/brain deads. xp per minute has gone up exponentially since my gains for a loss is HALVED.
Right now I Just hop around modes and factions till I find what team is currently utterly packed with players.
Another alternative method would be to give a general XP bonus to the side that is obviously devoid of players.

Weighting battle heros is definitely an options too.
Why try to hard carry and get punished for it? Incentivizing being the human anchor on a bot team would be a good thing IMO.
As of right now I just quit any matches that are obvious losses and my grind is going quicker.

Planes for sure, taking an entire squad out of the fight to hunt planes is simply not rewarding enough. You can earn far more XP by simply ignoring the plane and driving towards the obj.
Could be a small tickrate of XP for blocking capture progress.
Extending cap timers in berlin was a step in the right direction IMO. slowing down the pace of the matches would allow for a lot more thoughtful gameplay rather than just frantically bodying the cap as quick as possible.

I think he has a point in at least the top performer of the team should get a bonus to match or at least come near the winning xp in the end since even if you go off like crazy you might still lose. I play almoust exlusivly lone fighter and sometimes the team just doesn’t want to win and you are the only one even trying to take objectives.

I swear, my berlin winrate is about 10% right now,
while my moscow winrate is about 75%
I’m sitting at 30-40% WR for Germany in Berlin
and 70-80% for Russia in Berlin
I don’t know how it is for squad, but this is something like an averege game in lone fighter in Berlin. I don’t want to make fun of anyone, but it’s always like 8 people who decide who wins.
For the top 4 player of the loosing team this must be incredible frustrating. I’m sure they did their best, but there was no chance for them to win.

Would completely removing the bonus for victory make you fight harder? As the game progresses, the opportunity to increase your xp by 50% if you win seems like a good incentive to me. I know sometimes victory seems impossible, but I don’t see how removing the bonus for victory would change that.
But to be honest, most people don’t think about the end game, and try to just do the best they can at the current time. I think a better solution would be to reward high-scoring players in general, as you suggest.
I think victory should be rewarded, because it means one team performed better than the other. That being said, sometimes victory is beyond one player’s control, so individuals who perform well on the losing team should perhaps be rewarded.
