It would fix the frustration you have at the end when you pull several miracles from your ass and your team is such an extreme failure and utter disappointment to the species that they still manage to fail bad enough they lose the match.
When you perform better in terms of every stat available, you literally play better than everyone on both teams, and you get rewarded with garbage, I sure as hell don’t feel like incentivized to play the game.
Ideally this would be for the best, though considering developers in general, I doubt this will ever happen.
I’ve had several matches where I got between 15k to 20k experience on a DEFEAT on a free to play account, pulled several miracles and captured the zones with my teeth, only to lose anyway because the team is just utterly worthless. Suffice to say I didn’t feel exactly rewarded considering the winning players received more than I did and yet I performed way better than everyone in the match.
TL;DR, Punishing players who are potentially performing BETTER than everyone in the lobby because they just happened to have an awfully pathetic team is not acceptable. All it does is push them away from the game instead of incentivizing them to play and try to salvage a game that looks to be an extreme loss.

The thing about the human condition is, we focus on the negatives and forget the positives. We all want to do better. But imagine carrying your team to victory but the bonus for winning is gone.
I’m not saying that it doesn’t suck when you have a great game but lose - it does - but removing the bonus for victory does not change the fact that you lost.
Again, I’m in favour of rewarding success regardless of team, but victory matters, and it should carry some kind of bonus.

Completly agree. There is no need to remove the wining bonus. Just add an increase for the outstandinng player on the loosing team. It would take away from the frustration and make you try harder.
Exp is based mostly on kills. If you kill twice as many as an enemy than you will still get more exp than them.
Yes, we understand that. It’s not about your base xp. It’s about the jucie 50% bonus on victory and how frustrating it is to outperform your team by wide margines and still not get the winbonus, because your team was no help.
Then outperform them better. I don’t want the game to hand me victory on a silver platter. Build defences, hunt down enemy rallies, wipe out enemy tanks, kill twice as many as the guy in second. Winning should be an achievement. The victory bonus is good as it is.
That being said, my German winrate is positive on Berlin, but changing the victory bonus would seriously just be a silly band-aid solution. The game just needs more incentive for players to fill and mechanisms to balance teams. There are some games as Germans where I will have thousands of points while the next guy has less than 1k. I think that they’re bots, except when I trash talk them the guy in last place responds.
Noone asked to just hand out victories. All we asked for is to reward realy good performance even if you don’t win, since a single player has no chance to change the outcome of a match.
I think you got hung up on the poorly worded title. I want that people like you and me get close to what we would get if we win. It’s not a huge problem to me since I play alies in Berlin right now. That said it would get the axis maybe some good players so it’s not a bot slaugterfest. The victory bonus can and should stay.
yeah I play allies in Berlin and have roughly an 80% WR. If all I played was allied I wouldn’t care about berlin balancing at all.
It just isn’t fun if there is no chalange involved and evetualy, if my motivation for the game doesen’t perish, I will play axis too.

This is a brilliant concept the top 3 of the loosing team still gets perks this would make it worthwhile to do many things … stay in the match, fight intelligently, keep competition fierce.

Another thing about the human condition, we hate being punished for things that are not our fault.
Mind you I never actually said to remove the win bonus overall, I’d rather have it given to the 3 top players on the losing team, I only explained that having no win bonus at all would fix some toxicity, though it’s not a good fix. Win bonus for winning team + top 3 on the losing team will do fine.
