Remove/nerf penetration marker

For tanks, the penetration marker should be nerfed (or removed entirely) for two main reasons:

  1. Pen markers usually show even when the target is behind foliage, like trees, bushes, or grass. This makes hiding your tank quite annoying as the enemy tank can move their gun around until they see green, and just shoot you. Penetration marker shouldn’t show when the target is behind bushes, grass, or trees (maybe it could show if the target has been V-Marked by an ally who has eyes on it.)

  2. Armor is useless. With penetration markers, armor on tanks will be next to useless because the player just has to wave the marker around the tank and wait for a green to show. It would be nice if pen markers were just removed entirely to make the game more realistic/immersive. Players should have to learn how to play a tank realistically. The penetration marker could be turned on in practice rounds/tutorial only.

until a armor viewer like in WT is introduced the pen marker is a necessary evil

i’m pretty sure that LF doesn’t have penetration marker soo there is that

Lone fighters works just fine without it. I think it would be cool if it remained in the firing range though. Just for training purposes.

It does not and it’s great.

in the main menu it you could have a tab where theres a armor viewer for all tanks (unlocked or not). WT has a system like this and it could be designed similarly

No, just play Lone Fighters. Tanks already got ass raped with the stupid fucking hubble deep space telescope magnification update.

weird because I still get tons of kills in my tanks.

Yeah so do I, doesn’t mean it isn’t a retarded change when practically no one was bothered by the original sights.

I like that there is no penmarker. I wish we had the tank overview back. Right now you don’t know how many of the crew are still alive or what is damaged.

I honestly prefer the new sights. has me using my commander slot more.

Some people were and I don’t realy mind it. It makes it easier for infantry to get in the tanks flank.

Which is realistic. If you’re on the move the commander and the driver need to cooperate, since the driver has almoust 0 peripheral vision. They should give a periscope to the commander to mark for the team.

Yeah I was on the fence about it for awhile but after getting some matches in I found tanking to be more involved which I really enjoyed. Previously I just zoned out watching a movie and mowed people down, I had such a wide FOV that I could see literally every threat approaching me at all times.

having to go into the commander’s seat and look around to navigate the congested streets of berlin is fun tbh.

Personally I think they should remove the explosive indicator for tanks. It’s gone in LF and it’s pretty exciting.

So stick to Lone Fighters and stop encouraging the devs to ruin Squad mode, which already has a nice balance between casual and hardcore elements. If you need ultra realistic content, go play Post Scriptum and Hell Let Loose.

Nobody is trying to ruin anything.

Having a more authentic tank experience is a far cry from “HaRdCore ReAliSm”

I have both PS and HLL! did you want to play together?

Bottom line, your tanks got a balancing pass. I’d recommend saddling up and either getting good or learning how to play other parts of the game.

Squad mode is a mess of artillery spam and bomb carnage. LF is much more engaging and enjoyable, because you get to actually work together as a team to do things, rather than just die like cockroaches. Rather than just have Squad and Lone Fighters modes, I’d love it if the game had a Realistic mode, a la War Thunder, where it’s a little less arcade than Squads, but with the full AI squads, once the AI units aren’t such a paradoxical mix of expert marksmen and tactical idiots.

The penetration marker doesn’t mean squat anyway - get all the greens you like on a Pz3 or 4 with a Sherman - 90% of them ain’t going to do anything.

Get a green with 75mm AP on a Puma? Green means Puma is fine…

green means go ahead and dont do that.

You are, and players like you. Like I’ve said before, stay with Lone Fighters.

Tanks in Enlisted already have arguably more realistic handling and mechanics than another game on the market other than PS and and HLL.

Balancing pass? They can be taken out with literally one Explosion Device, besides the high high high up Tanks far in the progression tree and save for the T-34. Ultimately I can still stomp the shit out of you and other players with almost no effort no matter what’s changed. What bothers me is when established mechanics are significantly altered when there’s literally no outcry to change it. There’s a difference between asking for a QoL addition and changing mechanics which have been in the game for over a year.
