I agree with the artillery spam but it’s been heavily mitigated and will probably receive another alteration.
The selling point of Enlisted is the large scale Squad mode, but Lone Fighters was added for the vocal minority who wanted something different. If that mode works for you, then stick with it. Almost everyone agrees that the AI is shit right now, and it’s gonna be at least another 4 months until they’re in a universally acceptable state.

The AI could make reasonable improvements within 4 months. All they need to do is prioritize finding a sweet spot with their aggro-sensitivitiy and pathfinding logic. They’re already miles better than they were in the Alpha tests.
