I agree. Bombers should be reworked to both benefit the team as a whole and the individual who called the bombers in. The timer should be limited around the team as a whole. If John calls in a bombing run, he can NOT call another in for 8 minutes (or insert time restriction) and the team can call another bombing run in 4 minutes. It prevents spamming by the whole team, and prevents an individual from spamming. Artillery strikes should have a team cooldown of 4 minutes and an individual cool down of 6 minutes.
In reality it would allow the artillery to feel much more ârealistic*â. What I mean by realistic that in reality, artillery crews would have to load the cannons, refill their on hand supply of shells and munitions, while also recalibrating for their new designated strike zone.
The artillery call should last an extra 5 seconds, while ALSO being more powerful (buffed).
Airstrikes, and Bombing runs should be buffed and brought back to being a devastating, effective and DEADLY resource.
Buff Arty and bombing runs. Add MORE bombers to the bombing run and remove the artificial âflakâ explosions. Replace them with better and more realistic flak explosions (different altitudes and MORE/LARGER explosions.
The most ridiculous thing about bombers - people that intercept them gain so many points for it, that it isnât rare to see those pilots on top of the scoreboard, despite them doing practically nothing for the team.
I was always promoting in the old times that shooting down the planes should matter as more dropped planes would increase their call-in time by x-seconds.
That way, it would reward people for shooting them down in terms of âtacticsâ while still being lethal if not being taken care of on the ground, being able to respond better against enemy fighters, as well for morons who call them when the enemies have air superiority.
Yet, they shouldnât be flying AA snipers.
