Perhaps adding something else worthwhile to that slot may help change that, but what would be worthwhile enough that run-and-gun players would use it?
THIS.
It’s golden, I’m on board with this.
(With a mine placement animation, like @Ron_McKracker showed somewhere)
Lol, I’d love to see this in the Papua New Guinea maps.
I don’t quite see the issue here. Mine on RP, then what ? A single squad is wiped and teh rally point is gone. It’s not as if there was something on the RP continuously killing squads spawning from it !
I’ve seen worse default spawn points where there could be (and was) spawn killing from afar.
It must be admitted that using an AP mine to spawn kill an enemy’s whole squad can bring us great pleasure and satisfaction(though that there is some evil element in this pleasure: “Look, I fooled another careless jackass!”), and it is also a good reward for those who infiltrate behind the enemy.
But the victims don’t think so, they will feel that they have been fooled, especially some new players who may feel that this game is very unfriendly to beginners.
I benefit from spawn killing almost in every game and rarely become a victim, but I still disagree with this behavior. From a realistic perspective, mining rallies are detached from reality. As someone mentioned above, mining rallies is a completely unnecessary cat and mouse game.
The correct design approach is to significantly increase the score of destroying rallies and try to eliminate spawn killing.
At present, only 55 points are given for destroying rallies, the reward design of DF has gone beyond humor and entered a state we call abstract, because this is actually an behavior that has a significant impact on the battlefield. It is worth at least 200-300 points.
Then actually try be a teamplayer, cuz only 5% of the total playerbase know how to play the game and not be worse than bots
I can sit my tank next to tge ammo refill point and legit spawn camping the entire match because how dogshite are the maps
I am a simple man, I see big numbers = fun, is coincidence that people suffer from Devs lacks of playtesting
Pls no.
I mine enemy rally / or barbed wires sometimes if I need some points for an achievement.
I mine my own rallye too, and I protect it with sandbag.
It’s the game. A lot off good rally = an easier victory.
After seeing your spawn mined by the enemy, U will try to find a better place for next time. This is how we progress.
Bad rally = kills by enemy, so try to do diffèrently.
And if, in the futur, we can’t put ap mine on it, we will see players Who Just put barbed wires + explosif and wait like a f##ing camper with detonator in the hands…
It will be Better toxic like this I think.
So let the game like this, and let the new players abble to learn by themself (+ some tuto) how to build Better spawn with protections + ammo crates for mortar’s friends.
Finally, I think too, a mine detector for engeneer will be a good feature in the future. No ?
(and I’M sorry for my English)
I agree. It is just malicious and has nothing to do with the battle skills or tactics. Just anoying. It only spoils the joy of the game. It should not be possible to lay anri-personal mine in rally points proximity.
just no and if you place it anywhere near the battlefield you should know there’s a price to pay
Yes, I think I Will put babred wires around enemy’s rallye + tnt… And wait.
Good idea.
