You can still find 50 player right now on custom matches without bots.
They are actualy worth the time.
When the room is full, lone fighters its lots of fun.
And ofc, when all factions are avaiable, playing with a tiger against t60s its a blast ahah
Thatās getting dangerously close just to bomb a tank, you could easily get shot by enemy AI or screw up and crash. Also, why were you shooting the tank? At that angle it would had been impossible to deal any damage, in fact, if the guy in the tank was smart he would had moved out of the way and survived.
I always go as lowest as possible for the accuracy!
I am used to it so I rarely crash.
I was shooting the tank to see what it was and also to stay on track if the tank gets unmarked.
I often use the board weapons to search for tanks or infantry, so it is just a habit.
Smart players? Rare! Smart tank players? Unique!
Also as I have two sets of 2x50kg bombs I release one in front and one on point.

The less distance the bomb has to travel the more accurate it is, at least by my logic lol. But I also am pretty sure that out of 100 bomb runs 95 are right on target!
I guess itās true to some extent. Sometimes my bombs go too much left/right so I guess itās due to ādispersionā.
Personally I preffer to divebomb as it makes aiming easier and gives plenty of time to spot the target. (Dive brakes would be a welcomed addition.)

I dive bomb at 80 to 90 degrees to keep the bomb as close as possible to vertical for better accuracy.
Iām just mystified as to why most bombs are hitting the tanks and only doing minor damage.
I originally was using the Stuka but I was getting shot down too much by enemy fighters, So I switched to the BF-109 and Iām dive bombing with that. Basically I start at bout 1000M altitude and start the dive at about 15000 m for the target. Drop the throttle to about 55% during the dive this gives me about 2-3 seconds to find the target and line it up drop the bombs and then pull up.
A lot of the times when Iām pulling up Iām scraping the tree line. Yes occasionally I fuck up (or lag is not good to me ) and i hit the trees at 500 km/h almost horizontal to the ground.
There was a WW2 Stuka Ace who was using the low angle approach and was using heavy cannons to great effect against Russian tanks, but not sure if that load out is available in this game.
Would landing flaps work as dive brakes?
What about bombs that are amour piercing rather than high explosive so they damage tanks a lot but do very little splash damage to troops.
Perhaps the option of different bomb load out like instead of 5 small bombs, 1 big one.
If i had the skies to myself Iād prefer to use the Stuka, but dog fighting in the Stuka was not competitive against the Russian planes that had competent pilots. This is period accurate, unfortunatelyā¦
Because Iām a filthy casual ā¢ I only have 4 squad and only one vehicle, so I donāt get to switch between the BF 109 and Stuka which might be a nice option sometimes. But a games has to be good for me to want to drop money into it.
At this point Iām a de-facto unpaid (post) beta tester, like the rest of the people commenting here.
A significant issue I have is lag/latency, Iām playing from Australia and that is always going to impact my experience. An Australian based server might be nice, but not many games will go to that expense fora relatively small player base.

Darkflow is a decent studio and it seems like they genuinely want to improve the gameā¦
But it feels like the publisher who shant be named is holding them back; forcing them to monetize, host battlepasses with premium stages, enforce grindwalls to encourage premium, etc.

Itās easy and convenient to blame the publisher, especially in current climate. However, this game also has severe quality issues that have been completely ignored or fixed at glacial pace. No one but developers can be blamed for that. And may I remind you that this game has been in development for more 5 years already.
Regardless of all that, blame is ultimately pointless. It means nothing and helps no one. The only thing that matters is state of the game. Not its potential, not what it could be, not what it was promised or supposed to be, and definitely not who is to blame for what it currently is.

More MM (matchmaking) failures.
my anti tank squad wiped up in under 30 seconds for 0 rifle kills and one mediocre radio call
then my SMG squad wiped out in similar speed for about 3 kills , i tried my BF 109.
team mate only marked the tank once in the entire game.
And once again the tank resisted multiple bombing runs despite being hit at least 6 times.
The game is meant to be fun and some what realistic, and it still failing.
Another walk over game, but youāll be pleased to know I was the best on my team, its just the other team had 2 players vastly better. The thing i found most disturbing was the apparent snap shooting a lot of the opponent players seemed to be doing. maybe it was lag or call me paranoid, but it looked suspiciously like aimbooting to me.
I have been playing online FPS for over 15 years, which is longer than a significant part of the player base has been alive. So please donāt tell me I donāt know what Iām seeing with my own eyes.
I have been in gaming clans with some members who were described as āSuch a good playerā who later got banned for cheating. Some of those I called out before the Punkbuster ā¢ kicked in, because it was obvious from their play style and impossible skill.
A fair contest is all Iām looking for.
