Friendly mines don’t hurt teammates, even when they are purposefully standing on them and shotting them, causing them to blow up. There is absolutely no reason that teammates should be allowed to destroy friendly mines whatsoever.
Twice tonight I had games where a teammate went through and blew up every single mine he could find, simply because he could. This set our defensive capabilities back SIGNIFICANTLY. Breaking fortifications when they are blocking important routes is one thing, but mines should not suffer from trolling teammates.
Wires and mines in the right places can definitely help a lot, though I get what you mean when people are putting them in dumb places.

I have been noticing more people trying to purposely hurt their team more. Its weird. Had a guy going around every one of our close spawns just to put barbed wire everywhere the spawn to hurt respawning teammates.
It is almost impossible to tell who does it too, you need to wait for them to get a kill or die by an enemy and hope you saw it come up on the killfeed correctly.
Your comment: “This passive gameplay literally doesn’t help anyone”
Mines are nice for protecting your sniper’s backs. They can play a valuable part in helping to hold a position.
I think some players might be getting their kicks out of messing with their own side, probably on drugs or too many drinks. If spotted, then kill them.
Honestly i didnt know you could destroy friendly mines.
Thats actually a tactic, as annoying as it may be, putting barbed wires in certain places can help the team especially when building in point of interests, same goes with mines, afterall you are defending the point.
Use the replay function and toggle solder tracking camera this will give you free camera movement, just stay at the Rally point and wait and see who starts building the barbed wires around the rally point, pause the game then toggle tracking again and cycle through the players, this will help you locate who the person is.
well, it does help me squad wipe thus, killing the enemy momentum.
You see, people tend to put their best soldier in their top squad slot meaning that they use that soldier immediately after they spawned that squad. This means that they also tend to charge the control point using that squad.
^with this revelation I am able to: put down 1 AP mine → camp somewhere hidden → let that first guy die of the placed AP mine → proceed to kill their remaining squad using an smg or a bayonet. This works a lot better than you’d expect and it’s actually my favorite way to squad wipe without getting my squad counter-wiped
Ahh that’s a good idea, I forgot about using the replay function. Do you know if there is a way to report a player after you already closed out the post-game scores though?
So quick to ASSUME you know how I play. Actually, when on defense, I usually guess where the next objective will be, and drop mines there. After which I go and join the fight. The only exceptions to this is if I know exactly where it is going to go and its a highly defendable position. In that case, I drop a rally point for my team then pull back and start putting up defenses. I don’t snipe. I don’t use radio operators. I set up defenses and mines, and hold the enemy off the objective efficiently so that my teammates can focus on laying into them full force.
That’s another problem, we shouldn’t have to guess where the next objective is, it should be marked on the minimap or something. Lots of times I lay mines all over the wrong point.
Honestly am not sure how to report, if its cheaters then i think there are people who will advice but trolls or saboteur who build bardwire around Rally points, not sure there will be any punishment for that.
well that sucks, wanna know another thing that sucks about the replay function right now? we cannot manually skip to the timestamp we want, there is no rewind function also meaning if you missed the part you are looking for you gonna have to start the whole replay all over again.
Yeah it sounds like a problematic system as of current. I honestly think that players should get a secondary feed to the left of the kill feed that shows when a friendly or enemy destroys any of your mines or fortifications. This way its easier to identify who it was, and if its being done maliciously. In addition, they would need to crack down harder on teammates that get reported for it.
