So if a paratrooper can get away with carrying 2AP mines or an AP mine and AT mine why can’t regular soldiers have pouches to carry extra mines like a paratrooper can.
And I’m sure most of the people who have been on this forum have been around for quite a while they’ve seen reapers posts asking about mine pouches so you can use that to expand upon the conversation from here
the way it currently work is, you do not have limits of how many ammo you can take or grenades.
the limitations are primarily made for balance in the squad management screen.
( and well, ammo crates comes with how many ammo can a player get in order for others to have the ability to take as well due to setted specific ammount. otherwise yeah, you’d be able to have 40 magazines of whatever you want and more )
( although doesn’t really happen outside mods, but you could theorically use 10000 grenades despite having no pouches at all )
which, speaking of the limitations, those are fine as they are.
we do not need more ammo / grenades.
( or so i think ).
@61839981 And if you’d be so kind could you leave a link to all your previous posts talking about your mind pouches so everyone can look over it and think over it
hence they can just charge the attackers with no consequences.
attackers on the other hand, have both to " worry " about time ( as there’s a time before it results a defeat for the attackers ), worry about tickets and the constant waves of " defenders ".
if defenders usually fails, it’s because of lack of teammates or capable players.
it’s usually hard to lose when you are a defender unless you are pushing your luck and intentially hurting your teammates with rather questionable rally points placements.
which, AP/AT mines ain’t really gonna improve your situation with the previous conditions.
heck, you’d just facilitate good defenders work ( and overall make their job even more simpler than it is )
it all comes down to teamwork / not having bots in your team.
( and rally points closest as possible to the point )
Well I guess that reinforces my suggestion that we need voice chat on our team then And if anyone complains we have a mute button for a reason if they even have that
people generally are not inclined to listen or follow orders from someone else.
that’s just how it works.
it might benefit some, but i don’t think it would be a " final solution ".
because bad players will always be there, and good players will not become worse over time.
so, you would normally find a balance where experienced players will not abuse too much the tools available otherwise it wouldn’t really be balanced, but at the same time not make it too simple for newer players.
because once again, could be exploited by experienced players.
the only solution i can see ( which it’s far from being perfect ) would be to remove tickets for both attackers and defenders. and just put a timer in place.
it could either be:
put a timer for each sector and let be the best team decide the outcome
or
put a timer on the entirety of the match and still remove tickets for both attackers and defenders
and, last one:
set tickets both for defenders and attackers
but all of those 3 comes with issues.
in both the first and third case, matches wouldn’t last really that long. especially in latter gears where it’s just going to be a meatgrind of who uses more explosives and auto weapons to deny the enemy team to reach the objective.
the second case on the other hand, will last somewhat forever. let alone some objectives being impossible to capture unless sheer struck of luck that the defenders don’t actually find your rally behind a hill ( be the case of d-day or tunisia. where it’s mostly open with no cover at all- both for the map layout, and the objectives. where literally a patch of dirt on open ground and calls it an objective… )
no matter how you look at it, there will be upsides and downsides.
but it all relays around objectives being too smalls, and having somewhat a repetitive cycle.
