What is the problem with having progression tree paratroopers specifically tier 2 ones that can be helpful in low and high tier battles?
I have the event ones I’m just wondering why they don’t support this idea… in the mean time I’ll just consistently enjoy getting the best paratrooper award since not everyone has the option to play them.
My idea for them is just allow them to use riflemen class weapons until you get the higher tier ones that can use assaulter class weapons (paratrooper I and Paratrooper II) this will not detract from the current options.
this is an unpopular opinion, but if there are free paratroopers, they should have team limits like vehicles, just because paratroopers are really strong, and if EVERY player had access to them, it would be a horrible spamfest of raining men
I feel if they just made it (for balance reasons) where you couldn’t drop para’s directly on top of the objective … I would be fine with them being in the tree. and if it allowed me to customize the box, I would be quite happy. If needed, could also make it so pending greyzone (both moving to and moving from would be not selectable).
You are writing at the wrong time. Paratroopers are useless. Paratroopers were supposed to be an event-exclusive unit for DF to push FOMO. What DF did not count on is that people will get used to the events and many people will have them, so he nerfed them to the point where they are useless and DF hopes that people will forget about the paratroopers. Events both save and kill this game. I have a complete 2.0 build where I only have event squads, all of them are stronger than what the player can research.
Just make the event paratroopers accessible to the players who missed them.
Gastanofrizzi just made suggestion and I have suggested to make them earnable through the BP months ago. That is certainly better than putting paratroopers to the end of the progression.
