Pro-rated "zone" capture credit/award (based on time in zone)

We’ve all been there.

You are the first in the zone, and you situate yourself in the safest corner with the best cover; dutifully sniping the incoming defensive team members, who seek to SNATCH your advancing team’s victory away.

Many of your advancing team rally to the point, only to fall to an enemy’s machine gunner or gratuitous tank situated outside. You are alone, and yet the zone continues turning blue.

You have almost made it! You have racked-up no points for your effort as of yet, strictly speaking, but it is your fastidiousness and determination which is still winning the day. The blue circle is almost complete, and then BAM!

Enemy throws a grenade in out of spite, and you are taken-out SECONDS before the “victory” bell rings - earning zero credit for your inordinate time spent in holding, and capturing the zone. And yet everybody else who walked in at that very last moment gets full credit, despite your disproportionately greater effort and, arguably, greater success.

Again, we’ve all been there - and sometimes, it feels like a conspiracy. You can go an entire game getting sniped right before each zone is captured, and this has certainly happened to me as well. This is also one of the biggest gripes I had with War Thunder, and one of the (less significant) reasons I stopped playing.

Well as we are all pleased to know, Enlisted is not War Thunder, and we are grateful for that. The developers listen to us, and try to introduce cool new game mechanics and features, such as “Armored Train.” They are actually trying, and we are duly appreciative.

I would suggest that players earn some type of time-based points for how long they have been in a zone that gets captured. This wouldn’t apply to zones that are never captured, but only ones that eventually are. There could be a maximum cap to how many multiples of the “base” points (I believe it’s +45) you can earn based on the time you spent in there, but I believe that if you were in a zone during its capture phase all the way up to the end - only to get sniped seconds before the capture is complete - you absolutely still deserve something for your trouble, and who’s to say that for holding it for so long, you weren’t integral to its capture in a way that is great than the other players who eventually (and perhaps, tardily) made it over?

This flipside of this, of course - and this has also happened to me multiple times - is when you run into a zone seconds before the capture is complete and earn the same credit as people who have been holding it and fighting hard to keep it. Possibly even, more credit than someone who held it all the way to 2 seconds before the end. They get zero credit for holding the zone, you get 100% credit for walking in like a washed-up celebrity on a cameo scene set.

A more time-based credit/point system for zone capture and zone holding would solve this, and it would make us feel more like we earn what we get, and more importantly, that we get what we earn for the effort we put forth. This has been a pet-peeve of mine for some time, so I’m happy to finally put it forth for your consideration.
