The premium squads are by and large dogshit after they nerfed them when it transitioned from CBT to OBT.
Only a couple are actually on par with the free to play squads anymore.

I use them because I enjoy them. The grind is getting a little less āpainfulā sometimes making 30000 xp points per match.
Develop the game out of Beta and give us the right content. And I still want to max all the ātech-treeā stuff.
stop crying. only high skill players can make a whopping 4 man squad remotely work for them. Theyāve been already nerfed into the ground. Find a new strawman for your lack of ability in this game.

The number of premium squads in proportion to regular squads is fairly high but will only decrease with time. There were several now-discounted squads in the closed beta which beta players purchased in large numbers, but as the game population grows these squads will appear less often.
That being said, most premium squads are not uniquely powerful. They are limited to 4 troops, and cannot gain rank 5. A fully upgraded BAR squad, for example, is much better than the premium BAR squad assuming equal skill. Their equipment is available in free-to-play squads in either identical or practically identical form in terms of gameplay. The discontinued weapons which are unique are more of a sidegrade to currently available weapons.
If a player struggles to play well, a premium squad will not suddenly allow them to dominate the game.

Well now, Iām maxed out campaign on Moscow, and I still play my CBT Premium there. Granted, those are very good, and regular premiums are pretty lame. But still, you will play them for a while, until at least 20ās levels. Level 4 lock is devastating, all the good perks are available strictly from Level 5. And you are locked in at max 4 people, for most cases. Major gimp, I only ever bought CBT premiums.
Premium squad is weak. i am already Level 23 on both sides. i dont need premium.

Honestly nobody should be buying premium squads due to how vastly inferior they are. They are a novelty and do not even compare to a regular squad.

Yeah, as someone who just came into the game within the past week, I looked at the premium packs and it didnāt look like any of them were worth it. I wound up getting premium time and the battle pass and with the leftover coin I grabbed the 115th Infantry for the US thinking it would help push through the early game grind. Iāve only just unlocked flamethrowers and those guys are not in the lineup. Having 4 guys at level 4 is just too much of a handicap. My f2p squads may get half the experience, but they can die twice as much, and thatās important for me xD. I think a good way to balance them would be to lock them in a few numbers short of what regular squads are so that regular squads are better still, but the premiums arenāt total garbage.
you are better of spending currency on leveling your regular squads, and soldiers, and buying fancy weapons with that gold. Iāve looked at current premiums - they are mostly for flavor, and maaaaybe get you started off easier. But still, just spend that cash on regular soldiers, and weapons.
donno. they dont give nothing more than XP , a non-premium squad will perform as good or even better in certain scenarios.

i have all the premium squads for axis on normandy and berlin, they are on my loadout and i use them prety much all batles.
they arent op and could use more members into them. atleast a techtree to add more soldiers of diferent typesā¦
the best thing money can buy right now is extra slots on the campaign, it gives all the options in the world to play as you wish when you wish to do so. this is where the money is in this gameā¦ premium squads for sure need a visit on latter stagesā¦ more members and or a techtree to upgrade them. right now are just another squadā¦
(and ofc another money worth is premium time if you put the hours into it.)

They are worse than regular squads in just about every way. Regular squads have tech tree upgrades for XP so thereās literally no reason to buy premium squads.
buy premium time, squad slots and campaign skips.
no they are not, they are pure campaign XP machines. leveling a full campaing in few weeks time. and getting tons and tons of bronze orders to level soldiers to 5 stars prety much every day (couple of days)
they just lack squad members of diferent types.
an engineer squad as premium is twice as good as a non premium one
tanker and plane squads are worth for the role intended (killing tanks, inf and planes)
premium weapons are also unique and fun all around. giving also the advantage that they are already fully upgraded.
they just lack numbers and flexibility in an upgrade as normal squads do. lets give an aplause for guys like Tcatplayzgames or what ever forcing premium squads to be nerfed and seams that, that guy dont even play the game anymore.
as far as i understand and tested, the premium squads give extra 100% xp on leaderbords over what you did perform. non premium squads deal 100% xp max for Updates on the squad menuā¦(for squad upgrades and individual squad member perks or retraining orders of that squad type.)
you find it on the end scorebord.
as an example with 1 premium squad and a normal one:

the xp on the tech is for squad XP and not scorebord XP. read it carefully on the squad update page.
this one just gives xp for the squad so you gain points to upgrade them faster:
this one gives xp for the soldier so it gains levels faster.(or retraining orders)
none will give extra or 100% more xp as premium squads ON THE LEADERBORDS.
only premium squads will give 100% xp FOR the leaderbords, as stated on squad selection:
the squad upgrades for extra xp, is purely for squad levels and individual soldier perks.
the only reason i unlock everything so fast is because of premium time and premium slots.
i just get normal xp + premium xp + premium squad xp. pretty much triple a non premium user.
thats why i state grinding in this game is easy, as long as you payā¦

Cool info, yeah Premiums give you double the campaign xp, on top of everything else. You can see that in end battle results page.
Btw, what are your favorite squads on German? I might buy one or two, if itās proper good.
The maxed out engineers in Berlin are very handy. Their semi auto rifle fux
i trully enjoy them all. i left none behind.
but if i had to choose my favorite for the campaigns i play:
polish bar on normandy
engineer one on berlin.
but, i m more into vehicles 
if you enjoy tank vs tank warfare in this game panther A in berlin is a must have as an extra capable tank slot.
but, by far my favorite squad/weapon is the mg30 in moscow. sadly i m still level 6 there. i didnt waste my time and money thereā¦ yet.

We all have preferences.
I gave a try and took the Normandy BAR bundles while they were on sale.
Since Iām not even at level 20 on either side yet, I find those two squads decently useful; Iāll usually use them either as assaulters to storm caps or as gunners to cover a killzone with sheer firepower.
Iām aware, though, that as I progress further both premium squads will end up being outpowered by late game regular squads with more soldiers, mixed classes, equal-better weapons and 5 stars.
Thus I judge those BAR bundles to be OK as premium squads should be (except for being overpriced AF): an immediate taste of medium-late game weapons for beginners, arguably better than basic starter squads up to mid campaign, but later to be outclassed by endgame regular stuff.
Even then, they can still be worth deploying for the extra bonus and if you feel like going full gunners lineup to spam lead, though.

With big ammo pouches, the polish bar squad will be reliable at all campaign levels. Itās a amazing gun to have.
Engineer squads will always be on the gold in this game. Having more resources and faster time to build its always a plus (and the fact That they come with all the building options avaiable)
After that, panther A, mp40/1, ppd38 with bayonet, plane squads, and even panzer 3m as a infantry killing machine are all xp makers.
They are worth for the extra 100% xp bonus. Over the 100% more with premium.
3x more xp for the same time invested!? Yes please. Grind the non premium squads later on when I m waiting for more campaign levels and I can afford loosing battles caring less about xp.
Although it is true a premium squad is out matched from a regular squad you would have late in campaign progression, my problem with them is they essentially serve as another squad of machine guns allowing players to have a rotation of nonstop machine gun rushing. I think a much proper approach is somewhat in line with how the premium squads you unlock with the in-game currency are where they certainly are gimmicky / and arguably bad. I think premium squads should be a more a cosmetic / historical exceptions with essentially near-identical play style to regular squads. So say an Italian squad of rifleman who would be using their unique Italian uniforms, and guns. I would much prefer this approach to premium squads over the current bundles which ultimately serve as rosters for full-auto gun spam.
It should not be necessary for players to have to purchase premium squads to compete with players far into the late-game. I think the progression system should be changedin that case.
