Moutain squads like the German Gebirgsjäger, Italian Alpin or other squads
Special squads like these could add new uniforms or weapon variants to the game especially mortar squads as the higher elevation required lighter weapons

I’ve wanted an FFI squad for lord knows how long now, my idea for one would be a 5 man Assaulter Squad armed with the MAS-38. Definitely hope to see it one day.

I would like the 442nd regimental combat team armed with the (this is not historical but fun) T20 Garand.
My Great Uncle was in it so I would REALLY love to see it.

I know there’s already SS units in game but I doubt Darkflow would add more, not saying they shouldn’t add them they would definitely be a cool and unique looking squad.
There’s lot of them. No legit reason for not adding more

I know, but there doesn’t need to be a legit reason when it comes to Darkflow.
Japanese American soldiers on the western front. They earn a lot of Purple Hearts and other honors.

Yeah, that’s a problem butt I hope they could make an exception for foreign squads since they were all technically under the SS

If they come, I’d hope to see the Ukrainian SS unit that ended up deserting and joining the French Resistance be added as well!

I don’t think you realize how many are in the game. Though you might be right about the Handschar division being a little too distinct whereas others have slightly more plausible deniability.
The Handschar also joined the French Resistance, many were discontent because they were promised that they would be kept in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Oh I know there’s a lot, most of them are in Berlin, but there’s some in Normandy. Last I checked most of them in Normandy are premiums except for the Panther unlock at level 32.
I know this as well because I saw the Mark Felton videos on the both of them, definitely recommend him if you haven’t watched his videos, but besides that, they’d both make cool squads to have as an event or premium items.

In addition to the Handschar, I think that the Cossacks would be perfect. There were Cossacks on both sides so each could get one in an event/be paired as premium squads, and for a time there were German ones that were still part of the Wehrmacht before later being transitioned to the SS.
I hope we move away from squads that are all using one weapon in the future though, at least for some squads. I’d love to see them armed with a mix of MP-717(r), MP-40, MP-38, MP-41(r), K98k, Mosins, and MG-34s as they had a lot of non-standard equipment in their primary role as partisan fighters.

I want the exact same thing, but instead of for partisan fighters I want it for conscript defenders like the Czechs we see in the beginning of Saving Private Ryan, it’s documented that loads of Russian POWs as well as others were sent west to defend the Atlantic Wall so it would work perfectly.
And Moscow.

I want to see a premium medic squad for Axis Germany with Katanas and maybe extended mag MP-28s or something. They were doctors that worked in aid stations on the Eastern Front to study more advanced German medicine and eventually bring that knowledge back to Japan. They were never on the front line and their presence was meant to be very secretive due to concerns over inflaming tensions between Japan and the Soviets.
