Potential Solution to the Normandy Vehicle Problem

So, everyone here has seen threads complaining about “Jumbo OP” or “Thunderbolt OP” or or “Panther OP” popping up here and there. Most people on all sides seem to have a severe case of “grass is greener on the other side” syndrome, so in my opinion, Normandy’s vehicles need a rework. Get rid of the Panther and Jumbo change a lot about the tanks available, and tweak the aircraft available slightly to make things more balanced. Here is my proposal:

As you can see, the Jumbo and Panther are removed and American open topped vehicles have been matched with casemate vehicles. Also, most egregious plane has been toned down, and the Axis tree has been adjusted to match. If anyone has any questions or comments, feel free to reply.

just give the jumbo its 76 mm cannon panther problem solved

Ah yes
Use power creep to solve power creep, bound to work

you must be new around here then.

because those are things that has been suggested before, and by the look of it, never going to be the last.

but devs have no intentions to change tanks so…

Just use the M10. Problem solved.

yeah and the allies get m46 because we’ve gone down the slipper slope of power creep

Or we implement more infantry support vehicles and focus less on tanks like this current war thunder 2.0 idea around here. Scout cars and half tracks with medium tanks at the end of the trees which also solves the alot of the AT problems

open top tanks has huge Con that is cycling all crew members on commander spot until you have 2 left.

Replace the M10 with the Easy 8 Sherman

I think the Panther gets pulled along with the Jumbo.
I like your list but the Hetzer doesn’t belong in Normandy. Too soon for it since Normandy was in June and the first operational units didn’t come until July IIRC.
Easy 8 in place of the Jumbo and StuG III and VI in place of the Panther.
That to me would make more sense.

I can’t speak about the planes since I rarely pilot them.
I only know that the Rockets on both sides are a bit much at times.

Normandy is about operation overload, should have just called it that, which did go into august so Hetzer could fit perfectly

Trust me, I love the Hetzer but it doesn’t fit into Normandy. It first was operational on the Eastern front and didn’t see the West until Sept in Arnhem. Unless the deployment documents are incorrect.
It is more a fit for Berlin IMO.

I just want hetzer but yeah I do agree that Berlin would make the most sense still want it in Normandy

Nah, I’ve been here for a while, just thought it would be a good thought exercise to actually lay out a concrete plan instead of just making a bunch of rambly proposals.

Would the Stug III G work then?

well, unluckily for everyone that tried bot way for actually 5 months, ( or maybe a bit more )

never actually worked so…

i suppose i can start give stars to everyone as nothing can be literally done about it.

here for you:

It is a better fit for the time period of Normandy. My personal favorite vehicle too.
I’m no professional historian, and this game takes liberty where necessary to make things fit (looking at you MkB). But vehicles have a special place for me. I want them to fit properly or we get the arms race that we currently have in Normandy.

It’s true allies have “better” plane in the form of the thunderbolt, like we keep reading on the furums. As such we could replace the thunderbolt with a more grounded version, wich would make things balanced:

Allies mains would probably complain it cannot fly, though.
