I propose a tiered BR scale in which a player’s current BR determines what maps they can be put into. This system is in response to the most extreme historical inaccuracies, such as tiger 2s and is2s on Moscow maps. Essentially, the more high-level gear a player has, the further they progress on the chart. Eventually, they will be disqualified for certain campaigns as their equipment becomes more advanced.
This would potentially keep some of the late-war gear out of the early-war campaigns. Notice how late-war campaigns are not immediately accessible, this is in an effort to prevent very early-war weapons and tanks from being in late-war campaigns. Example: panzer 2s fighting t-60s in the streets of Berlin.
Potential Concern - Player wants to use high-level (but still historically accurate) unlocks in early-war campaign. Example: Tunisia main wants to use drum mag Thompson on Tunisia maps and not get forced to always play Normandy and Pacific (later war campaigns).
Potential Solution - A player’s BR is not based on the highest level equipment a player brings, but on an aggregate of equipment level. So they can bring a few high-level thompsons with Tunisia appropriate rifles and vehicles (bringing down overall BR) to still qualify for playing Tunisia maps. This does not mean they will only play Tunisia however.
This solution is not perfect and does not get rid of all historical inaccuracies. This system simply exists as a compromise. Players can still experience more than 1 campaign’s worth of maps at a time and the most extreme historical inaccuracies are prevented. I am open to suggestions on how to improve and the general thoughts of the community.
If we get the possibilities of have squad preset for fast squad management, we can ourself make our
Early war squad 1939-1941
Ongoing war squad 1941-1943
endsieg squad 1944-1945
And fast swap the squad in base of what period of war we want play, obliviusly Early and Ongoing war squad share most of the map instead our endisieg squad can play only normandy and berlin
Imo get this is already a nice step in the ongoing direction
there is a problem with BR… just look at m3 vs thompson. thompson is a prewar weapon but ranks as end game weapon for rating and m3 is in service since 1943 and ranks as starter smg in normandy. if you go purely by BR you will get some historical inaccuracies that way.
vehicles (mostly planes) are also shitshow cause their rating will have nothing to do with year of production/service
also wanted to mention historical inaccuracies where some vehicles/weapons were in service by year/campaign, but werent in campaign/battle. like fedorov which was prewar weapon, saw action in winter war and was mostly destroyed there. or t50 which had combat history in leningrad in 1941, but wasnt in moscow (at least to all sources that i know of). then there is whole pacific where allies need to be nerfed for balance with japanese even though pacific covers 1942-1945 and allies had better equipment specially toward the end of the war.
why would it be? why shouldnt they put someone with tiger 2 in berlin? please explain. or would you rather have for someone to cheese average BR by putting 3 squads of kar98k and tiger2 to sealclub people in moscow and stalingrad?
and how many people will equip “similar” loadouts? are you even aware of playerbase requirement for something like that to even work remotely. why not just make balanced team and play normally?
ah yeah… sealclubbers… btw equipment based MM made to combat sealclubbers. so that you dont have situations of stuart vs tiger. personally i dont give a f**k for those kind of players. l2p
