Not aperture sights, just CCOs which probably won’t make it in game.
It is worth discussing because it gives an advantage to players who use it. If you don’t hold RMB you are at a disadvantage currently, so players are forced to use it.

This sounds like a good idea, but I’ll round back around to the same question, why does Enlisted have to reinvent the wheel here in the first? Every other modern FPS on the market has stock standard single level of zoom with an option to hold your breath to gain a slight bit of zoom and stability. Why is that so bad? It works in literally every other game, so why not here? Insurgency, Squad, Post Scriptum, Call of Duty, all have functionally the same aim controls. I’ve yet to see someone explain that one to me. I’ll add too that this is extremely pertinent to gameplay and realism. American troops weren’t sniping German gunners with their M1 Garands and springfields, but in the current system they can easily do this. Give smokes to lower level players to compensate for this if you’d like.
i’ll just answer your thread with one thing:
try to lower all the spec, and play with it.
than you might understand why it’s needed.
well then visibility on lower specs needs fixing, or the amount of props globally needs to be reduced if it’s that bad; doesn’t mean the devs have to implement a crazy new aiming system to compensate for that.
You’re also at a disadvantage if you don’t use LMB but you not using the tools you’re given doesn’t mean it should be removed.
Insurgency, Call of Duty - maps are tiny. Even smaller than what we have in Enlisted.
Squad - scopes.
Post Scriptum - it kinda doesn’t work though, does it? Or I guess it works but the ranges are heavily skewed, which affects gameplay. Even in youtube videos people usually zoom in (through video editing) when they shoot.
I agree they did go a bit overboard with two-level zoom. It’s largely pointless with current map size and is too complex for an arcadey game like Enlisted. I think it still works though, just like having no zoom works in PS or HLL. It’s a questionable feature at worst and probably just need some adjustments, not removal.
