Playerbase profile and how it effects the balance

Truest fact said in the thread.

I recently coerc… err… invited a friend into Enlisted and made him buy the 95% off year premium.

“Damn Joe, since I play with you we win almost 95% of the matches, I’m almost general… you’re good!”

But truth is I’m not: I just learnt which matches were worth playing and know when there’s an enemy stack (automatic desertion, friend isn’t addicted enough to endure sweat stacks).

Amen. It’s a game. We play for fun, nothing else. If only more ppl understood this seemingly very logical thing.

True, I don’t play unless it’s fun, I could care less for my rank or my stats.

Am I considered a Soviet sweatlord? Considering I play more sweaty when I play Soviet with triple PPSh squads and tanks. Even DShK was added to my menu especially when defending. Also in Normandy I mainly have triple STG squads, an MG, an engy and a Tiger.

Yes, you are my friend

Ww1 was close range combat ? Are you joking ?
Have you ever read of any memoirs of ww1 from actual veterans ? Or you have any idea about tactics of first tankers of french anf brits ?
Nearly every soldier was carrying bolties in ww1.
%60 of all casualities from both sides caused from ARTILLERY. What a close(!) range weapons.
Tank was invented not to provide close range support.
And espc. Experienced soldiers tried to avoid bayonet fight .
It was invented to be mobile mg and artillery that can break the static trench warfare.
The biggest tank that widely used in ww1 was saint chamond and it was used against mainly ARTILLERY UNITS to eliminate them from distance

If you are referring to infantry protection, i think you are referring to french tank doctrine of infantry lining up behind tank. The problem is :
-They were not getting close to enemy as soldiers did

  • once they reach a certain range, they clear firstly enemy mgs to break enenmy defense then lined up infantry rush in.
This ww1 movie has the perfect depiction of how to use tank as infantry support
Battle of Western Front #2 (1918) - Germany vs France - YouTube
    The difference between game maps and ww1 is ;
-We dont have super open maps like trenches in north europeans planes in frances in ww1
  • maps are too small and designed to be cqc hellhole. In nearly every area and objective has covers you can use. Also for enemy to use.
And if you are talking about " tank goes with infantry" i think you are referring to panzergrenadiers like mobile squads wich also just dont have tanks, if they have 1 tank for eg. They at least have 10 motorcycle and lightly armored reconaissance units to inform tanks about enemy. Which we do not have in the game.
The most efficient way to use vehicles in current system at the game is longe range fire support and good positioning on rares.
