Can we plase have actual stats on them in the game? You keep messing with them without any patch notes and it’s pretty tiring when one week you are firing thermonuclear bombs and the next one nerf darts and one cannot actually see their penetration values anywhere on the plane card
Rockets haven’t changed since the last major update that corrected their penetration, if you want to check their pen stat you can check my sheet: Enlisted Resource - Google Spreadsheets
Check the “Penetration Values” tab.
Wouldnt happen to know pen values on plane cannons would you? (They arent on your sheet that i can see)
Like 30mm AP and HVAP, or even 40mm Ap
Would love to know
currently they are kinda broken, in the test server there was a update of all plane shells, so when the merge releases i will add pen values of all plane cannons
Interesting because they actually work really well in game. In practice mode they are completely broken/not working. I put buying them off soo long because of their failings in practice mode.
But in normal games they are quite strong.
They do work in normal games? Interesting, which ones in particular ?
Hurricane 40mm and bf 110 c6
(Hurricane apparently suffers from the auto pull up bug, i dont get it but a mate does)
Been having a blast
Nice, I’ll add these, I guess practice is broken because of the lack of crew in the tanks
Hurricane 40mm is not working on live, I won’t waste time on practice as it’s already in my line up. But it is definitely broken on production.
I don’t think this data is actually anywhere close to reality, ever since the “correction”
According to the sheet: RBS-82s are supposed to have 54mm of pen at 30 degrees, so basically any decent side hit on any German tank in Moscow should be a guaranteed pen. I literally stopped even trying those even on Pz IIs at this point
Also, it feels they recently took out AP ammo from most planes, that doc lists US .50 cal belts as half AP and those (at least in WT) had some riddiculous pen, meanwhile lately I was barely able to pen the 10 mm roof of a PIV in a 90 degree top down suicide test run
The test server still have the same useless BF110 G2 autocannos against tanks…
Testing on practice i have absolutely no issues, works flawlessly, tanks explode, damage camera works perfectly, at a distance these rockets have a lot of spread though
compare to before? rocket havent kill any tank for me only bomb are working rocket cant do that anymore so this explain it
i kamikaze the thing so maybe im doing it wrong? even tho before the rocket would kill before my kamikaze bomb explode
It does work, thought.
I’ve also got it, and used it in normal matches. Almost always start fires in engines, and kill crews from the sides.
The handling of the plane itself is bugged a bit, thought. During a dive at very high speed, the plane pulls up for me without my input…
On PC maybe, not on console, would love to see a replay of you using it, what range, angle of attack etc
I get rocket kills with HVARs, but the 82s are miserable. I was talking about direct hits on sides. I’ll try to get some footage eventually
Idk, I was answering WidowMakerUk73 about the Hurricane canon plane
For this, ask @Myrm1don, he already made one in which he makes Tunisia axis tankers suffer…
As for the “pulling up” bug, yes it’s still here. It only seems to trigger on the very first dive from 1km altitude, nearing 300m (ideal firing range on tanks) the plane decides to pull up for no reason. Maybe it got a mind of it’s own and it’s afraid of the ground. All subsequent passes are fine however, for some reason.
It’s a fun plane, and if pen values are fixed like @Euthymia07 said in the next build, the plane will be even more relevant.
The Hurricane will pull up when you overspeed (500-something-ish kph)
I don’t think it is a bug per se? Apparently the tops of it’s canvas coated wings just bulged out at that speed, literally increasing lift towards the front of the plane and overpowering the elevator? That’s what I got from random googling anyway
If that’s truly the case, they really implemented something extremely specific and not that necessary…
But it would mean, the plane is fine, which is really nice.
