Theres not a single game in which planes are onehit to a single gunshot.
If you get ANY part hit you can’t raise/maneuver any longer.
Sometimes damage is NOT being indicated on your plane even if you were hit.
Even tho they are oneshot you do have an AIM indicator where to shoot when a single bullet takes down the plane. Dog fights are simply not a thing.
The Altitude gaining is terrible! 120 TAS is the limit to climb anymore. If you fall below 90 TAS you will UNAVOIDIBLY nosedive, instead of having a smooth rollout (you would t hink the head developer learned from War Thunder?). There is no way to gain additional Thrust or boost like you’d be able in War thunder. Turning effectively ruins your altitude and Speed.
It does feel like your plane decays in the air? As in losing Acceleration or Altitudegain or something? Might be imagination but it does feel like it.
for the decaying in the air i don’t think i’ve ever experience it but then again i have my throttle at 110% and most of the time i end up dying because my plane was hit once by something or i misjudge the time i had to pull out of a run
I get in them every match, and the damage models only work incorrectly for ground targets, they work perfect for air to air. Guessing they miscoded ground fires damage to have the same damage values to aircraft as they do to infantry, which is an issue if a plane part only has 10 hp or so.
This is in KPH, I’ve never been able to keep my planes airborne below 160. At 90 KPH your plane will fall out of the sky like a brick nose first, nothing wrong with that.
It definitely is a bit heavy on the loss of energy from turns, even full throttle you can barely keep up several loops without losing serious altitude.
Plane performance is completely unrelated to one weapon, the rockets from the Bf110, overperforming. They have been turned into blind bricks with the OBT nerfs.
Simply fixing the damage models, flight models and cockpits to be like war thunder, then nerfing spawn distance so planes need a minute or so to reach the battlefield (nerfing both first spawn spawn bombing and suicide bomb spam) alongside a Bf110 nerf should give no issues, while significantly improving quality of life features for pilots
i said that since you can basically blind drop the 109g-6’s bombs and still get kills compared to the p-51 which needs a more carefully placed drop to get a chance for a kill
Removal of planes (or vehicles for that matter) makes this game have nothing unique about it besides the squad combat compared to other shooters. The vehicles are part of what makes this game. They need to be properly balanced (I’m looking at you BF110, A20, and Jumbo Sherman) but when balanced properly they help the game shine.
