I took don’t like the lack of choice, but I had a thought, if it is just a skin, then maybe the dev process is much easier and quicker, presuming they need to design new views and internal / external models etc
So hopefully Devs will use this extra time to focus on the bugs, new content, but it would be good to not lose any more choice in this game, that is / was it’s USP!
I couldn’t care less about new BP vehicles to be released only as skins.
But if they’re going to turn my old GO vehicles into skins, my reaction is going to be severely overdramatic.
What’s the point of having GOs if they’re just gonna be converted to skins? Similarly, how is it fair that F2Ps can’t stack GO firearms no more? Imagine if the Condors had released this season, I woulda only been able to get one instead of the 4 I currently have.

Yeah, sadly, unless the BP sale rates didn’t go as they planned they might come up with something more favorable to us. But TBH, who ask for BP change? I thought what they said in roadmap is to improve the elements in the BP to be more incentive, not this drastic change of the format.

They want you to shill out the big bucks for a BP since F2Ps used to be able to horde gold orders and purchase whatever they wanted. Now they can’t do that and either have to fork over the money or be stuck with a singular gun.
900 gold is big bucks? It’s less than $10 US, you get the gold back during the BP which essentially makes it free, and it lasts for three months or more. Are the devs just supposed to work for free?
There are better ways to incentivize in game purchases. You can’t simply strip F2Ps of their ability to stack GOs. That just alienates the playerbase.
Your original point emphasized the “shelling of big bucks” - and frankly, if a player is going to quit b/c they’re not getting as much “free stuff” as they used to, then I imagine DF is making a judgement call about how much they can afford to give away.
Can’t say I blame them. As far as I’m concerned, if you’re not paying for a product, you don’t have any right to complain about the product.
That’s kind of a negative mentality to have. The idea that F2Ps who make up a bulk of the player base should put up or shut up even when they implement bad features is nonsensical. We didn’t pirate the fucking game, you know. It’s available to everybody.
They already have a shitton of in-game purchases available. Premium exp boosts, buyable squads, a BP along with slots and silver. They’re generating plenty of revenue. Don’t pretend this is anything but to further milk the cow dry.
I didn’t say you did. Ever heard the phrase, “You get what you pay for” or perhaps, “don’t bite the hand that feeds you” [the game, in this case] or even “looking a gift horse in the mouth”?
You don’t know that. I’m not saying they’re not making their mortgage payments, but the gaming development world isn’t exactly swimming in oceans of gold, either. (Don’t even get me started on why that is the case at this point, but it’s still a fact.)
And, yeah, I get it, everyone’s got an opinion, feel free to share it. But people whining about not getting more free shit is not a good look. You’re already getting an entire game. There’s no content block like in some free games. There’s no maximum in game “gold” block, like in others. You get to play the ENTIRE game and the only limitation is that there some of your mentioned pay-to-gain items.
Perhaps I sound elitist b/c I can afford the $10 BP fee. But those complaining sound whiny AF and need to perhaps spend some time figuring out their life choices.
In any case, you can have the last word. There’s no “winning” this type of argument, was just making a comment b/c I feel DF gets a bad wrap on the whole “charging for the BP” thing. There’s plenty enough that can be complained about, but making a free game and then having places where they can make some non-required revenue is not the worst business model in the world.
Bro, i think losing your mind over (mostly beneficial) BP changes when they did such hardcore P2W stuff as paid Stalingrad where you got permament 4x booster for that campaign, reduced costs on everything, paywalled most of the good vehicles and weapons, TONS of extra slots for that campaign and maybe more stuff I forgot

The change to the battle pass definitely is not that big of a deal. There’s no need for a store and a “choice” when you literally get everything.
People need to remember, Enlisted is a live-service game. The F2P model is all well and good, but it does require people to buy into stuff to keep the game running.
We could talk about other so-called F2P games that died an inglorious death in 2024. There are plenty.

problem is that they are not mostly beneficial changes. it is beneficial only for minority of people who already have all weapons from BP shop that they wanted to buy and that is minority of people(mostly whales and veteran mains).
if they wanted to make things beneficial, they could have just added 4 weapon GO in BP and nobody would complain. now they are creating FOMO when something actually interesting comes in some BP season to “force” people to buy BP. they are also creating FOMO for current BP weapons(buy now or miss out forever).
