You are already de-ranking if you lose or leave early so your suggestion is to not change anything.

I dont think that this works like intended or is bugged.
it works, you just need to wait till match end.
Then I just hope they intend to increase the de-ranking or just remove the xp of the game you deserted, so 100% penalty.

I agree desertion should award ZERO xp AND lower rank EVEN if done even 30 minutes in. That’s fair.

Kinda gives privilege to people with full grinded faction to quit as they like since they dont really lose anything.
While some newcomers could use the exp, regardless they refuse to be the exp pinata for premium kamikaze hvar spammers.

When I said xp, I also meant income. Pretty much tied togheter.

Ranks are useless. So applying a punishment to ranks is like telling an adult santa does not exist.
I would give -90% silver and XP gain for next 2 matches if you abandon a match.
