I know that the game has basic spawnkilling protection, but it’s annoying when you spawn it at your main spawn and go through a doorway only for a squad of guerrillas to mow down your whole squad. There should also be some spawn protection for tanks, as guerrillas can just go to a tank spawn and camp with TNT charges for a lot of free score.
yes, it is annoying, but that’s the whole point of the guerilla class
there already is spawn protection for vehicles
According to the devs, the point of the guerrilla class isn’t to spawncamp, but to fight greyzoning tanks and destroying engi structures. Also tanks can get killed in under 10 seconds after spawning (I don’t know the exact time because I’d rather contribute to my team).
This is far less annoying than the tanks in the gray area.Guerrillas need to run hundreds of meters to do this, which is right.
If the tanks had TNT charge immunity until they left their spawnzone or fired a shot, then that would fix spawncamping tanks without stopping the guerrillas from being able to do their job. I do as well find greyzoning tanks to be very annoying but adding a spawncamping class is not a good solution.
Maybe a spawn protection like 50 map units around the spawn. Until the unit leaves the zone they cannot kill or be killed. I wish they would tell us what the map distance measurements are, feet, yards. Meters or ?
You are protected while in spawn, you cannot be shot for a lil while…
Meaning if you got shot after using a door… it could have happened anywhere on the map.
Remove Guerillas is the only penalty that could work.
Guerillas are a dumb idea and should be removed
Make them lose score for the kill and then they won’t do it as often.
In this case, the same should be done for tanks in gray areas.
Spawn is usually wide enough that you can find guerrillas with periscope. Stopping and observing can solve most problems. I don’t believe there will be a steady stream of guerrillas breaking through the blockade and coming to tank spawn. If so, they will easily lose the game.
Tanks firing continuously in the gray area are worse off; the emergence of guerrillas is precisely to eliminate these tanks.
Honestly just nerf the TNT charge and explosive pack, they should only be one shotting tanks from the roof, on the sides should be throwing off tracks and etc.
There are better solutions, though. Solutions that don’t inherently cause spawnkilling or even spawncamping. The worst map for this (that I’ve played) is that one Berlin train station map where guerrillas can hide in that crater right next to tank spawn and immediately jump on top of a tank right as it spawns and TNT charge it. Said map also has a spawnkilling problem at the main spawn.
There is already
Same for infantry spawns
Full ammo for enemy weapons picked off the ground is cool gimmick.
They should just remove the access to greyzone gimmick and give them specialists to squad, including engineers and AT soldier.
A few seconds of not taking damage isn’t enough for some camping spots. The worst example I’ve seen is Communist Street confrontation, where one of the main spawns has the overhang where guerillas can hide and spray down anyone exiting the spawn since even with the highest possible speed you can’t exit fast enough to have spawn protection by the time you see them. On the Rzhev map in this building in particular
After taking the building and pushing forward, the spawn can be camped easily due to the lack of cover when exiting the building.
I feel like refilling an enemy weapon from enemy ammo boxes shouldn’t just be limited to a premium smg that is worse than what you already have access to at that battle rating.
sure as soon as you nerf 88mm he shells they should never one shot twelve guys in an area the size of a 100kg bomb. its one thing if the blast is contained inside a tank or a room but an open air explosive taking out the area of an Olympic swimming pool is silly.
Explosions in this game are very unrealistic. Not only is the damage very poorly calculated, but the AoE is also poorly designed. Half the time explosions do nothing, while the other half the 152mm shell has the same blast radius as a 1T bomb.
