PC community, please do not crucify me here.
I have no issue playing games with M+K. However, sometimes I like setting up my controller and just chilling while gaming out. I noticed there’s no aim assist for PC while using a controller. I’m wondering if there’s something in the works that’ll fix this issue? It’s almost impossible to kill anyone 10 meters out when using a controller so I just keep going back to M+K.
This game has some wild potential and it’s a ton of fun playing with friends. Keep up the good work devs!

Go buy a console.
We already have more than enough bullshit with console players getting essentially legal aimbot.
The last thing we need is PC players also having legal aimbot.

Lol, I knew this was going to be an unpopular opinion. Look at games like Warzone, Halo MCC, or any other game that uses controller support on PC. They all have aim assist for gamers playing with a controller. There’s some controversy about the aim assist being too strong on console in this game and that’s something the devs need to work on. I’m not asking for a “legal aimbot”, just something to actually make it playable with a controller.

That escalated quickly, I think it’s only fair if the console players have aim assist on their controllers then what’s the big deal using that on pc?
It’s literally the same mechanic that is already in the game… smh.

Legal aimbot lmao, I see that controller on the menu and I see free kills. When’s the last time you saw a controller icon in the top 3? The top 5?
If someone wants to, God help them, let them.

Exactly! It’s already a mechanic in the game for consoles, it should carry over to the controller support on PC.

I see nothing wrong with that. it’s perfectly logical unlike the response.

Either both PC and console should get the legal aimbot or neither should.

I did look at those games, and the PC community hates being matched with console users due to legal aimbot. Much like EVERY OTHER ONLINE GAME.
If I go around on a PC and snap 5 meters to my side because i happened to aim in the general direction where you exist, I would be banned for cheating, yet, a console doing this is ok while playing with PC players that are not allowed to do the same, but for PC to have that result, you need aimbot. Therefore, it is essentially, legal aimbot. There is no debate here. That’s exactly what it is.
There is no “controversy”, it’s a fact. Nobody likes to play with people that have legal aimbot.
We either both get legal aimbot, or none of us. Simple as that.

PC has a lot of other unfair advantages. If you played both versions, it is no-brainer which one is easier. Otherwise I agree, people should play in equal conditions unless they chose not to. So if PC players are forced to play with those few masochistic console players who did not turn crossplay off, they should have a way to opt out.

Your argument is extremely biased and illogical. You’re comparing traditional aim assist to an aimbot when it doesn’t work that way lol.
You clearly don’t understand how aim assist works… In a game like GTA, sure aim assist is essentially an aimbot locking onto targets and allowing you to switch from one to another… In Halo, Warzone, and pretty much all other FPS games, aim assist works in the sense of lowering your sensitivity while crossing over a target so you can be more precise. I’m not asking for a system that “snaps” onto targets. I’m asking for the traditional aim assist that has been implemented in FPS games for years which exists already in the console version.
I’ve played this game both with M+K and controller. The mouse has a HUGE advantage over a controller which is why aim assist exists. It’s to level the playing field.
Aim assist gets a ton of backlash because salty kids on PC die and blame external circumstances for dying as opposed to just accepting the fact they got bested.
Same can be said for console players, they like to blame M+K saying it’s “unfair” because you can react to targets much quicker with a mouse.
All in all, it depends on who the player is and how good they are at the game.
TLDR: Aim assist is not the same as aimbot, stop making false accusations to fuel your narrative.

I’d rather an option to disable crossplay. Especially after finding out it isn’t aim assist as we usually see it in MP but the snap locking like in Call of Duty campaigns.
I’m 100% not okay with that kind of shit. Nevermind the fact that you can do fine without the assist at all on controller so it’s predominantly a crutch anyways. Found that out when I tried my controller to see if PC got the aim assist as well a couple months ago.

You can very well make that argument considering there are cheats out there that do the same exact thing, but one will get you banned and the other is encouraged because muh poor console players((

This, 100%
Aimassist is just unnecessary crutches for console players. I should get an option to turn off crossplay with console players while im on PC with a mouse so i dont have to play with legal cheats

Of course you would get banned for cheating/manipulating game files to lock onto targets. That’s not what I’m saying. I agree with your previous statement that the current aim assist provided to consoles at the moment is wack and snaps onto targets. That needs to be updated ASAP. They need to look at how other games have handled aim assist in MP and implement the same type of system. That’s all I’m asking for. Not a snap aim assist, just something to actually make controller usable on PC.

Why do you need a controller on PC when it’s far more fun to use a mouse? Do you really need that big of a crutch?

Tbh I thought it’d be kinda comfy to play from bed with my controller sometimes
Like I’m doing with ME:L right now

Aim assist should be a thing. However, it should only drag your shot close. For example, being 1 meter off target at say 25 meters and the assist will drag you to 0.5 meters off target. You’re shot would still miss unless you adjust your aim manually with the assist. Thus making it an assist and not an aim bot like it is currently.

Option to opt out of crossplay on PC and the aim assist getting a lookie loo in general is all we need.
Giving the now balanced assist to controller users on PC after it’s gotten a look at for both platforms because snap locking is complete horseshit
