Parachute, can we have it please?

I would really appreciate, if we could get a chute, while jumping out of a plane… What has the pilot his side arms for? Can we please have it? Thank you

Why are you jumping out of a plane?

Accept you have been shot and your bomber is damaged beyond flying.
Give your soul to the fighter pilot behind you.

Don’t deny it, die with honor !!

Coward. Die like an true soldier!
On a serious note: why? Why do we need a parachute? So people can troll-cap the points?

So that we can continue the fight after the plane is destroyed. I think that’s enough. I hate falling to my death after jumping out of the plane when the plane is badly damaged

But you gotta realize that 90% of the people are going to be parachuting just to cap points, even if their plane is totally fine.
I figure if I’m flying bomber and my mate is in a fighter, we have a good chance of capping the second point in invasion all by ourselves if we both parachute down right at the moment when the rest of the team caps the first point. Most of the enemy team will still be on the first point.

Yeah, and tbh, if someone have damaged plane, they are already in grey zone, soo it woudnt save anyone at all.

When flying you’re most likely to drop outside the combat zone and die on the ground anyway.

Unless you want some CoD/Battlefield style parachute that you can open in 0.5 second and 2 meters above the ground ?

actually, unless we are speaking of US army, pilots would be often send to combat without parachutes in order to save their airplane or fight till death - when saving it is not an option

only thing we need are airfields to repair the plane

and im not talking of big, concrete airfields with hangar crew but rather “just in case” dirt roads on which pilot would have to repair critical parts of airplane… if its equipped with tools of course

Proof? Apart from 588 Night Bomber Regiment who were flying relatively slow and light biplanes that had very low landing speeds, and were considered by the command to be light enough, plus it’s large plan surface area (biplane) meant it could land almost anywhere even with it’s engine completely stalled. (Didn’t really work like that IRL, your plan surface matters vey little when your wings are missing/shot to pieces by cannon rounds).
But apart from that I’ve never heard of pilots being forced to not take their parachutes (with the exception of Kamikaze pilots, ofc), could you share your sources, please?

Are you sure you’re not talking about WWI? Because landing something like BF-109 (no matter the modification) is quite tricky even on a perfect concrete runway with it’s narrow landing gear. Most planes of that era would have landing speeds of 160-200 km/h. Imagine driving a trike at that speed on a dirt road.
No sane pilot would even attempt to land a plane on an unprepared dirt road with it’s landing gear down - you’ll capsize and likely die. You crash-land (landing-gear up). And if you survive, you’re not going to be able to repair the plane yourself, even if you have the tools, because you’ll need to lift it somehow, and replace a bent/broken prop.

Pfff repairing planes is overrated. When the Japaneses finally get implemented they should have bombers without armament other than a big bomb fused to the hull and barely enough fuel time for a single bomb run. There! Plane reparation problem solved!

no you cant have parachute !. Becouse it is useless due to gay grey area, you only see so bad in this game and nowhere else !!

parachute would be used only in limited fighting area and that would only encourage suicide bombing more!!

Now note that this game is new, still is not as advanced as Heroes and Generals to have paratroopers and parachutes !

Well, i’ll give you a lil research folks
So, a couple dozen times, i tried to jump off the plane, being curious about - is it possible to get out of plane and stay alive
So here is the scheme. You can speed down af, and correct your boarding angle to almost horizontal. Also, you better land on roofs of buildings. 2 or 3 times, i was succeful at it - both times at Lerter trainyard, and third time i landed on Sur-Mer church roof, survived the landing, but was killed by art.fire
So, actually, even without the parashute, landing is possible, and not only in gray zone, but in the action zone, it just require some practice
Adding parashutes would be a damn great, since it’s hard to find good angle and speed down as much as possible, so - i’m agreed with OP

Even easier: try to crash in a river. My lil pilot could swim to safety. But got shot as he swim…

Already planned.

— Will you give pilots a parachute?

This will appear in the future. But as of right now, the zone in which you can bail from your aircraft is quite small and outside of it a parachute won’t save you, for now we are directing our efforts to higher priority tasks.

You are right I forgot about that… so this, with the fact they are testing the possibility of more player at the same time per match… makes me think a mode with some huge map might be coming eventually. Nice.

You should not even give yourself the option to get out of the plane, burn with it and die with honor, immolate yourself against the enemy

But there are no rivers in Berlin but Moltke and Lerter… (

The thing I always hated the most in battlefield games was the parachute, ppl doing batman glides from rooftops just to knife me was enough “hollywood” for a life time.

Rather newer see them in enlisted even for pilots.
