As the title says, playing the Japanese is a waste of your time and braincells.most of the Japanese equipments is just okay and a lot of it is bad, and when you look at the American tree,it is a lot better. Let’s look at the largest lines. Rifles, not much to say, the US gets M2 carbine on all people, Japanese don’t have an equivilant. SMGs, the Japanese ones are slightly better you can argue due to high magazine size OR rate of fire,some neither of those, but they still do low damage per shot and the sights are kind of weird.the AT and heavy gear line, not much to say here except there isn’t anything to deal with shermans or above. LMGs, this isn’t much of a contest, the type 11 is the worst automatic gun in the game, the chauchat is better due to being able to aim,the type 97 and 99 are okay, but low ROF and mag size kills them, but the US LMGs are pretty decent, you can properly shoot with the brens, the BAR line is good, the 1919a6 with 100 rounds,and on all those the recoil is pretty good. Tanks, this is just a joke,the Japanese get an SPAA for their starter, which would be fine if it could penetrate anything from the front(the M13 can pen most from the front)the whole Japanese line is pretty similar for the most part, light tanks with shit Armour and guns that get blown up by anything,tank destroyers that have even more paper Armour, this time open for ppl to shoot at you, and honestly at that tier underpreforming guns. The only real distinction is the chi ha short, and that has a 120mm cannon and good (for Japanese) Armour, but it doesn’t have any form of AP, so even M2s that angle properly can likely survive you shot.the plane line is good in terms of the pre merge US planes it fought, but that’s gone through the window. The few planes they have are bad at bombing as they usually only have 60kg bombs, and their fighter role is okay, but the spitfires and whatnot destroy the point of it entirely. The P47 might as well be BR2 for the japs, because it deals similar damage to the P38 there, it has a 20mm cannon,6? 50 cals,and 8 M8 rockets, and combined with good speed and high Armour, this thing is unstoppable. Any Japanese tank gets easily destroyed by just the 20mm cannon, and just a single Salvo will 9 times out of 10 kill you. So you US mains can stop complaining about balance with the tiger 2 and whatnot(here’s some advice, just get in that plane you love to spam and drop the 500 pound bomb on it) when you make half the enemy team leave almost every game in the pacific due to how broken your gear is against the Japanese, almost every match I’ve played after the merge has been 1/3 to 3/4 my team leaving mid game.
The allies need a new bot farm considering they lost Tunisia and unfortunately the Japanese Will become the new punching bag
And now the Japanese will suffer the same fate as the Italians, being attached to a single unfun to fight enemy where you are significantly outgunned
Japan doesn’t even fight BR5 USA so I don’t understand comparing their equipment to the M2, M1919 or P47. And the devs have already confirmed that Japan will start getting BR5 stuff in the next major update.
You forgot one thing not only are they stuck with the Americans and becoming a new bot farm they don’t actually have any true weapons to have a good fight against a death stack
Why mention BR 5 stuff when japan can’t fight BR 5 US?

You don’t know that though. You’re just theorizing that they’d be outgunned when devs haven’t even said anything about their future equipment besides that one tank. And the Tokyo Arsenal is decent from what I’ve seen so it looks like devs are heading into the right direction.

Jap SMGS i think are the best in the whole game. you have a rainbow to choose, and all of them are amazing.
AT line, you have a 100 mm and an 80 mm pen bazookas, not to mention the best AT rifle in the game for low tiers.
the M1919a6 is not present in the pacific campaign. its tier 5.
the Zero is extremely dangerous and it can kill any plane it faces.
the P47 is not present in pacific, is tier 5.
Japan BR4 is stomping USA so hard it lost all its fun.

One tank isn’t going to change this, and the Tokyo arsenal is a small breath of fresh air, but only 50 with that high recoil and ROF is iffy outside of 50 or so feet
they didnt. maybe low tier? couldnt tell. but BR4 is just a walk from objective to objective, sometimes its so opressing you dont even have time to lift the hammer to build a rally and the cap point has already moved.

If I’m correct you should be able to smuggle M1919a6 in with the Pacific paratrooper squad from the allies if you go Tier 4

the problem in pacific is not the gear, except the tank part. its a population issue. let me show you a standard japan BR4 lineup:

my guess is, wise and experienced players know for certain the tide will 100% turn to USA in time, and are filling the blanks on the research tree before it happens. like it happened before. and before. and before. some people still dont get the drift how this game population cycle works.
The type 5 is hard to aim and the type 4 has the penetration of the PIAT, and the AT rifle is good, but it is an AT rifle, so mixed results most of the time, and they are planning of adding Japan to BR5, so T4 players will be qued into T5 along with T5 allied players, so it’s going to get worse for them a lot more than it already is.
With how DF does things it wouldn’t be a surprise For me
