Anyway, the next update better has to be very good if they want to keep the confidence of the community.
I think it is pretty clear how the devs have been absolutely ignoring again and again the honest to God feedback the active players here have been giving them to the point there is precedents of them clearly knowing and seeing the disapproval and backlash generated from their decisions but proceed forward anyway alienating and angering more and more players as time goes on to the point they start losing more and more players willing to defend them or even bothering to play or look at this game ever again
The whole reason why this thread and others where they make horrible decisions turn so sour is because they prove time and time again they don’t care what the playerbase thinks, pair that with the announcement and development of Active Matter, Steam release fumble, lack of marketing after the re-release on steam and recent announcement of War Thunder looking to add Infantry and the logical conclusion is that there is a high chance they are just simply giving up on the game slowly as they move onto a different project
All I’m saying is that they wouldn’t have this many players disappointed and angry if they didn’t constantly let us down non stop and ignoring the feedback everyone provides for free since I would like to think we leave comments here so the devs are aware what the players that care about the game really want and even then it feels like talking to a brickwall

…I wonder if the Russian speaking community also is as unhappy with this event as most of us seem to be (as I assume DF will most likely more look at that part of the forum than this one due to the language barrier and all that)

Exactly, some claim that art is dying out, but I think if art was going to die out like that, it would have died out when artists started using chemical paints instead of using natural paints (like cavemen).
I sometimes check it with the translator, unfortunately they don’t express their disagreement as strongly as we do.

I don’t see WT adding infantry, like, ever. Enlisted was pretty much the answer to the WT players asking for infantry, which it pretty much is: WT with infantry.

Would be great if anyone fluent in Russian could comment on whether they are as unhappy as many are here (because native speakers will be able to get nuances in comments better than some translation program)

I really dislike the use of AI images especially if they are being offer as “rewards” for an event you even need to PAY to get all the rewards
Oh wow you put so much effort on this by check notes typing on chatgpt “make this picture painting like pls” and calling it a day!
If they don’t even bother to commission an artist (which there is plenty of and I follow a couple that draws military men REALLY well) then it tells me even more how they don’t care at all about this game and they just want to put whatever and expect for players to PAY THEM for AI Slop, absolute insanity

This is one of the artist I’m talking about, there is real artists that draw military topics and are really good at it, but if the devs of this game doesn’t even bother getting an artist to give something of actual value and instead choose AI slop then they really don’t care, I’m not paying for AI Slop either

It’s the April Fools “devblog”. They always do that every year, announcing things like that. I have been on WT long enough to be used to this. But if they do this, then I will admit my mistake.

That’s the thing, they put the awful BP system again to ask for money for the rewards on this event and they decided to offer AI Slop portraits as part of the rewards which you have to pay for to access in full? That’s hilarously awful, of course the main attraction are the guns but it is still a really low blow to ask for money and put AI Stuff on it, they got to do better than this if they want monetary compensation
Mistakes are not important at all, but the introduction of infantry in War Thunder will destroy Enlisted.

It is true we will have to wait and see how the events pan out but the true April Fool’s event over in War Thunder is WW1 and vehicle centered with AI infantry featured in however it is important to note the modern combat trailer and blog post announced that there will be a closed beta test of infantry
I will quote as well one of my previous posts since Gaijin has also a precedent of using April Fool’s as a direct test for new upcoming content such as the MBT/Helicopter event back in 2017

I personally had the theory that the WW1 infantry setting was testing for Enlisted, while the modern infantry setting was testing for Active Matter.
PS: I have been on WT since 4th July 2013, I even remember when there were 20 ranks for planes, lol.
It’s too optimistic. War Thunder is fully capable of creating infantry content, and it doesn’t care about the survival of Enlisted at all. Then again, who really cares?
