Mtx ruin games full stop
Shouldn’t be a thing tbh
Honestly I’m fine with a campaign level being that expensive. Means there won’t be as many people buying them. Kinda how you could buy your way to top tier in war thunder but due to the massive cost almost no one does.
I’ve seen people to that when a new tree is released. Also in war thunder, you can’t pay your way to top tier with a new account, you have to get convertible RP first (except for Germany, you can GE the Leo 2PL).
What I’m getting at is still the same. With no to minimal grinding you can get to top tier with a lot of money.
it’s more about the power difference between starting players and players who whale themselves through the entire thing.
Imagine day one 2 premium squads and a third SMG/LMG squad fully upgraded with everything vs your puny 4-man bolt actions.
I kill tons of people with the bolt gun. This all sounds like a huge case of FOMO.
“woah my SVT-40 is not special any more knowing other people just purchased it instead of pouring blood sweat and tears into grinding it like I did.”
Honestly who cares.
Paying to skip a grind is not P2W.
Sounds like a step up compared to 5 premium squads day 1 on the other team like we have now.
Then you are obviously not fighting in Moscow against full premium squads with 35% more health. You are one of those people who think having a 4+ month advantage in a game where you literally only get stronger without ANY matchmaking to protect newbies is not P2W so I won’t both arguing beyond this point.
No I’m saying 2 premium squads + 1 fully upgraded squad PER PERSON day 1. That was not possible during CBT.
When you’re facing 5 premium squads on the other team, what does it matter what one of them has in reserve? You’re getting shit on either way.
What I feel a lot of people miss about these systems is that while the player using them might see significant benefit, to the player opposing them there’s little difference between them and a squad that earned endgame gear.
Fair point.
we should regulate how much people can play then because when OBT hits and a certain part of the population plays 6+ hours a day and reaches maxed out squads before everyone else that’s also unfair and bad and dead game :(*
Monetization: only cosmetics and game locks itself after a max of 3 hours of game time to ensure everyone progresses evenly.
this is carebear levels i’ve never seen before.
Can’t unlock better weapons or better soldiers if you don’t grind your regular squads.
even with 6+ hours a day you need 4 months, as said. And the difference between maxing out everything day 1 and maxing out out after 4 months is day and night.
Maybe actually consider how long the progression actually takes before replying to me next time. Unlike you, I have done the math.
Really that’s a real separate problem that’s been ignored too much.
Once the game gets say, 6 months old, premiums will be the least of our concerns compared to sealclubbing sweats with the current system.
We’ve seen that problem with War Thunder/WOT veterans jumping into lower tiers to get 16 kills per match.
Aside from gating a campaign for new accounts I’m not sure how to prevent that. Obviously if you gate a campaign to low levels only people will get ass mad they can’t go back and play it. They’d either have to clone the campaign for gen pop or well… idk.
Great example is Escape From Tarkov having both high level and low level quests on the same map. You get level 55s killing level 2s. Pretty much all my friends quit playing Tarkov for that reason or the rampant cheating.
I think it’ll be worse than War Thunder.
War Thunder has BRs to put a hard limit on how good one player’s equipment can be in a battle.
Not so in Enlisted.
It will be in this game - straight away you can buy 7 man squads right from day 1 to play newbies with 4 man squads… so you have 75% more firepower right from the get go.
and then the gap will only get worse…
This is one of the reasons I wish their roadmap was more fleshed out.
I think the “campaign” segmentation is supposed to act like BRs but there’s still quite a large gap between starting and end forces. Chasing around a tank with your one soldier that has an explosive vs having an actual AT squad etc.
@Josephs_Piano if there isn’t a weighting/match making system that could definitely be a problem just by sheer numbers alone. AI is kinda dumb but they still kill people.
I highly doubt they will ever end up adding a matchmaker, given how the playerbase will guaranteed be smaller than that of WT, and already be split among the various campaigns, and Gaijin up their ass with “muh queue times”.
Really I don’t think it was so bad initially, but now that Moscow has added more levels, all of the new additions are too good for Moscow.
Could you explain this a little more?
@5762269 Gaijin was saying something about wait times? Last time I played WT I do remember the queue times being longer than desireable.
I think that’s one of the reasons they created the “Squads” gameplay. 10v10 is not nearly as hard to put together in a rapid time compared to putting together a proper lobby for SQUAD or Post Scriptum. Player base, match times will be stable despite fluctuations. Resulting in the appearance of popularity despite potential dives.
