OMG the gold coin now is here!

Update: this forum do has a hidden section for monetization. But! You have to log off and login again to see it. Dev do a pretty bad job announcing we have a new place to talk about it because my account never log off automatically so until now I dont know that section of the forum. There werent any emails to notify me. So this is what I posted yesterday.

You have to login your account in Gaijin store to see this page!
Gaijin.Net Store / Enlisted gold

1USD=100coins
So 1 Month of premium account<=9.9USD, pretty expensive for me. (I can get a McDonald’s double cheese burger +a pineapple pie for 1.8USD here in China)
And this game’s content and developer’s attitude towards community definitely does not worth so much like 100+USD a year.

Like most game’s I ever played always give a great discount on price in early stage. Their developer all have a clear mind how to treat players when the game doesnt worth that higher price. But Enlisted? So many bugs I reported still there and even some severe bugs still f**ks me in daily gaming expereience. And the content is still lacks tons of polishment and game balance is ???
However they still want your money NOW!

Use our money, use our labor, to test developer’s stuff?
WTF is the relationship here?

Well, we all saw that coming, or are you expecting devs to actually give that testing group currency they need to test things? You gotta buy it comrade
(that is at least my guess of what is happening, unless that stuff is in the game for all accounts already, using it in the store now is nothing but scummy bait into buying something that have no value even in game)
I can already see people paying up another 100 dollars at once on an indie game
Seriously now… this is twisted.

Got “selected” today. They do not provide any gold for testing.

Yes, that’s one of the most ridiculous part!
Why the fuck use our REAL MONEY to TEST the developers’ fucking “beta” microtransaction system?!

Use our money, use our labor, to test developer’s stuff?

Because they’re refunded after)))))

The gaming industry made that pivot years ago when there wasn’t a resounding rejection to “early access” and all other derivatives of putting beta/alpha testing onto the consumer.

The rationale is that you will get your gold back if there’s a wipe.

Are they?
Right… why should we do things easy way if we can do it hard way… that makes perfect sense.
Also, making this public was definitely not a good idea, especially since community is currently having “anti in-game currency” feelings with all the monetization types that leaked.

Can they at least give it a cool name and not “enlisted gold”

The goldie birds spent are refunded, not the cash, sorry I wasn’t clear.

It also isn’t public, I think our chinese friend was chosen since my store doesn’t have it. You should go check if yours was.

Every thing is better than enlisted gold

But I dont play WT at all… This means I have to use my real money to buy this stuff.
And one thing I pretty certain that Gaijin never refund your real money back…

I think he meant, that spent gold is refunded. Probably not in form of golden eagles.

But I would be for renaming this currency as such, because we are only steps away from Infantry Thunder.

Sorry I wasn’t clear

Try to login then visit that link. I find both me and my friend’s account can see this page after login gaijin store.

Well… guess I´m now chosen one too…
Did you check store more recently? I wasn´t part of it at first wave (if there were more)

I checked as soon as I saw the thread. Hell my 2fa screwed up several times too lmao

Well, that brings me no joy. I still believe that entire tester community should be involved. The now “unlisted” poll showed already, that our intention is not to scam Darkflow.

Yes, if there is a wipe. You will start with all your golden thingies back in your game account. Meaning if you buy 50$ worth of in-game currency and spend it on progression, you’ll start the OBT with all that money (if they wipe).

I don’t really see this as any different than a MMO subscription (paying for continual development and server maintenance). Unfortunately the gaming industry has gotten pretty phobic of subscription based games after the MMO genre basically imploded. They’ve found other ways to monetize games that have continual operating costs

Before we even reached Open Beta… Good signs I guess.
