Also, as long as 10vs10, too few players, so not need so many team work and coordinate like those traditional games like RO2/HLL/PS etc.
But for a 20vs20 lonefighter, this role will works!
yep i big fun of “lonefighter” - there game loooks like normal game
more and more i think this bots been realy bad idea - but peoples play it
Oh yes. Only everyone who uses engineer will be forced to take officer.
Also people can still take engine… i mean officer to their assault squad and still run n gun while givin attack order for personal gain and build rally…
my friend I dont know what to say - we can talk years maybe, may be Im stupid or something other but as i sayd - i still have opinion enginers to mighty and radiomans too - realy stupid game play made game boring for me - so maybe not only for me? maybe more difficult and deep gameplay bring more players back?
and there is only one aspect what for me made game “stupid” at least i hate too - dinamyte vs tanks [one shoting dynamite - whats mean every person can kill tank woth one “nade”] im hate no limits res squad type. ballance between deffenders and attacers etc etc - but most peoples like it - maybe just i install wrong game… who knows
probably wrong game or style to play, try using other squads that you don’t find as OP
That would be nice
“lonely players” is mostly great for me
maybe some day they will made event for “lonely players” and its will get new breath become more popular - many players even not know about
No suprise.
No no no.
Do you want to repeat the discussion of the previous topic about officers?
I’m worried that nobody will use the current feature if it’s restricted to this “rare” class.
difficult question Im not a Vanga
but i try look in othere games like Day of defeat verdun tannnenberg isonzo - and in that games its works
for example other question - “medics”! medics with automatic weapon - but we can heal themselves [like in battleroyale] and each other - but developers add medics - so who knows maybe we will see new types of soldiers too
I don’t know about other militaries but I do know that in the second world war a Marine Rifle Company (yes, I know marines aren’t currently in the game but I don’t know army’s numbers) had 7 officers and 228 enlisted, not to mention the name of the game is enlisted which implies its trying to put you more of the perspective of the standard rifleman, not the officer but hey its probably just branding. Only one out of roughly every 34 men in your standard company was an officer and they ALL had M1 Carbines, hell even the cooks had M1 Rifles, so I don’t think limiting pistols is good in terms of gameplay or historicity (the army could very well be different, as most know the Marines are quite prideful with the “Every Marines a Rifleman” motto). To be fair their have been ahistorical additions in name of gameplay with I’m fine with, it wouldn’t be fun for the Germans if they could barely get airborne in a plane without a full squadron of P40s or P51s taking them down.
I really like the idea of an Officer as being a “buffer/support”
- Be only available in a Command Squad
- Increases the Combat performance of ALL friendly AI/players within a radius, increased HP, reload speed. awareness
- Be a mobile spawn point for team when not under fire
- Possibly have Access to HEAVY artillery off map callin
I found the Army Rifle Company numbers, 6 officers 192 enlisted = exactly one officer for every enlisted. Also to add for both no officers are in rifle squads, only platoons and headquarter units and since this is squad based rather than platoon it also doesnt fit imo. Maybe add headquarter units but I wouldn’t know what to give them, so work with this if you want or cast it aside i did my part
*for every 33 enlisted
In former and actual German armies, squads leaders (squads equivalent to German “Gruppe”) are most likely “Unteroffiziere” ranks from actual “Unteroffizier” rank to “Feldwebel” ranks, while platoons and above are under command of officers.
officer class sounds like a great concept and would imagine benefit the game play.
I can see it also making sniper class more relevant as a direct counter.
Officer would be more of a tactical class and while you are controlling an officer, you are not on you assault team so some players would chose to be on their “tactical command” squad rather than on a more operational squad .
The original officer squad would have unique capabilities like the original post suggested but it could also benefit from synergies when including radio operator and/or engineer.
I totally support the idea.
Fully agree!
many thanks!
tactical squads performance can be realy good but it takes a player with more than 2 brain cells to make it work.
its a different aproach to the game that can be just as effective as the current Meta wich is pure assault squads.
Breaking assault squads supremacy creates tactical optons to counter the -End all, beat all - Meta.
Paratroopers would also bring more chalange to the game but community seam to believe “maps are too small for it”. lets see if maps are too small for carpet bombing then
I agree officer class could be nice. But don’t make new classes by cannibalizing existing ones!
Instead officer should have his own, unique abilities. For example advanced AI commands.
Whose orders you mentiones should be a standard imo. I mean sth like this: RTS-ish way of commanding your squad.
Although nobody was interested in it. Not surprising at all concidering that current gameplay is mostly run&gun grenade spam.
