Im offer for arty - radioman or radio + officer + only marks maded by binokular [ like in day of infamy]
but he need have goal of arty strike in line of sight for made mark for arty or now soon will be aircraft bombing
like in verdun / tannenberg / isonzo - officers marks places for attacks or deffence - for example pretty often im realy mad then my team mates attack on front - i can place this marks in place where they can easily flanking - if they not bots if they want got bonus for “follow order” or they realy dont know what this way better and want this type of orders - they can keep it - in this way its works in ww1 series - isonzo verden tannenberg

machineguners too strong too - but its about bad gunplay balance
bombers too strong too - but we just need normall aa guns

Sums up my opinion on this particular implementation of officers.
Also, the idea that engineers are too strong because they can build rally, or rallies should be as strong as they were-pre nerf is plain false and bad.
If you leave engineers only with barbed wire, ammo and sandbags, people will lose the incentive to use them as much as they do now (they can occasionally build the above-mentioned structures, but the rally is the main reason why use engineer… as it stands in current in-game practice)
They can build other structures ONLY if they are part of engineer squad, so the argument “but they can build x/y” is just false.

in new campain i will again made same - enginers + radiomans + submachine gun - there all waht im need and its boooring
at squads and soldiers is usless… snipers near usless… mg squads crazy unbalanced… bolt action rifless - too weak - yep im happy what they at least will starts balancing mg and rifles - but i think other things must be balanced too
Then try to play anything else just for fun? Its what game are about, i honestly use mostly BA and im having fun.
Engineers and Radio are just not strong or OP, they are balanced. Of course, if you use them with something like Auto rifles (FG 42) then they can be OP, but thats because of weapons, not squad.
If every one plays officer(cause now every good player would be forced just cause spawn point) how that ‘attack there, go that way, do what i say’ eould promote team play?
Imagine those games if everybody would be allowed to play officer at same time. How effective those commands would be? Everybody could just spam those markers to get some personal benefit.
Also we can already ‘order’ people to attack from certain position. Its called rally point.
Those games you mentioned how many players can be officers at sametime?
imagine game where all players in team use mg and fg and jump like a bunny
or imagime game when players play in this way in attack - bombig then arty then push then bombin then arty then push
and saly i know this game - this 2 cases looks realy sad for me - becorse in any pvp games we have limits for classes - unlimited clases brake game balance
and case where all will be play as oficers i not sure can be so often - if you play with friends we will talk about “roles” and most peoples there just want “run and gun”
Even though I do love this role to be implement to Enlisted, I dont think it fit 10vs10 match.
Also I do think of an “officer squad”, but it may work badly, and also conflict with game’s play style.
And kind of “remote” combat, including sniping, suicide bombing, camping, too frequent artillery is not welcome by the game.
It may fit into solo mode, if dev ever want to fix that mode and make it another main mode to the game.
Also, as long as 10vs10, too few players, so not need so many team work and coordinate like those traditional games like RO2/HLL/PS etc.
But for a 20vs20 lonefighter, this role will works!
