Im offer add new unit “Officers” - unit with same abilities what this unitы have in other PvP ww2 games
Officers:
- Only one this type unit per squad
- Only this unit can build rally points [rally points must become more strong as been in starts of alpha] [In my opinion, the engineer has too many opportunities and if this one is taken away from him, nothing will change]
- Only this unit can call arty or air support by placing marks by using binocular and if have radioman or stationary radio near [engineers can build stationery radio now]
-Only this unit can put marks like “attack there” or “defend there” - other players who are in the zone of this order will receive additional experience
-Only this unit can issue orders to engineer bots from their unit, such as “built it there”
- Game grow we got new weapons maps companies but we still not have officers - i think its looks like “crime” [yep we have some officers regiments - but offcourse i think its not right - only one officer per unit]
Why?:
- This units type [as we seen in other games] will made game more team based
- Old players using this unit can give command for new players who not sure what to do
- At least it’s made gameplay more rich add few new additions and tactics [as for me game play now realy simple and for me its mean game become boring pretty fast and pretty offten zero team play]

I sure you know lot or even most games have “officers”
rs2 is the one of best games for me - they found the golden mean between arcade and realism

Yeah but this is not RS. I do not think that the vast majority of players are ready for more tactical gamplay featurees/ arcade nerf looking at the popularity of the engineer. Sadly…

but
perhaps in the same game in the same match, players who want to play arcade will run and shoot, and players who want to follow the global situation will play as tactics? why no?
and i think day of infamy / verdun / tannenberg / isonzo - they have near same “arcade level” like enlisted but they have “officers”
we already have radioman for artillery and engineer for rally points, so giving these abilities to officers only would remove engineer’s best ability and make radioman a rifleman that cannot use backpacks.
but the officer could get a more tactical use, being armed with pistols (and having some unique pistols like the M1932 schnellfeuer) and their binoculars that would give them the ability to mark all enemies on the binoculars like we mark tanks (the marks will be on soldiers and move along with them), so they will be very useful if used right but not as useful at combat

as I sayd before - in my opinion enginer too strong - he made rally point / anty aircraft / anti tanks guns / ammo / deffence thigs / machine gun nests - he a real supper man - too strong i think
in other pvp games radio man looks like officers “dog” - he must be near and deffend officer - not all love this game play - there bot can play this role - now radioman game play for me too simple - arty each 1 minuts by placing marks on map - even no binocular - too simple boring and too strong again
Even RS was good game there isnt any reason to try turn this game just copy of it.
So every squad would be radio squad as long as officer and engineer would be alive.
Personally i think whole ‘officer’ idea is stupid. It just combines ‘classes’ we already have while nerffing them while gaining only some roleplay aspect

the officer can be a good idea, but i agree with you that nerfing the other classes would not make any good
yep this will kill that “every 1 minute arty spam”
really i don’t know any game with every minute artillery strike ability - for me this is realy “stupid”
and make an artillery every time one strike ends spam

i mean only radiomans ll can made arty every 1 minutes
in this idea we need have live officer + radioman or stationary radio and you mast place mark for arty by binocular - maybe i not right but i think this kill arty spam
it will only make it worse, the current radioman is a small squad not made for front combat, so many people don’t use it, however with every squad being able to call one arty, people will start calling one every time the previous ends
my friend - now playing radioman you can made realy many kills just sitting on place like a stone
and smoke in attack realy usefull - too strong like enginers i think
How this would end artillery spam? Every player would be forced to take officer on every squad just for rally point so why dont take also one engineer for buildable radio?
Like you said officer would just order bot to build radio so he can call artillery?
Also these are something i dont understand. I know how ‘officers’ work in other games but i think these are just false assumptions…
Exactly how would game be more team based? Just by adding ‘assistant engineer’ and ‘assistant radio operator’?

They are strong only when used right. Radio is strong in attack and defence, but you only have 5 man squad with 3 riflemans, MG and SMG, or however you build your squad. You can be deleted easily if on frontline. If you just camp and send arty, you will get kills, but what is a point? That is just boring gameplay.
Eng squad is good, but again, if you are on frontline, you get killed easily because you have mostly riflemans. You can have only 2 SMG gunners, you can defend with it, but still need a skill and situational awareness. Also only dedicated Eng squad can build everything, and those squads are just not OP or strong, they are okay.
Those squads are balanced, they are not OP in any way. It all depends on players that use them.

all Enlisted squads are good, even the rifleman squad can be OP if one uses it right

Yep, i love rifleman squads tbh, i just give them BA’s and have a blast using them.
