Normandy anti-tank weapons completely useless for the axis

If you’re having trouble killing the tanks, go into practice yeah then you can try shooting the tank as many times as you want to see what works, you can pen a jumbo pretty easily ifyou know how

It took a little bit. But Im happy the AT buggyness is finally starting to appear on the forums. Was feeling pretty lonely for a bit.

They are good, they might be bug, but when they do work as intended they are the best AT weapons of the campaing, the only thing exeption to the rule is the sturmpistole, and even if so, still great against anything that is not a Jumbo

Can you rephrase? I honestly don’t understand what you are trying to say right here.

What I mean is that if the sturmpistole only works in the early game, give us something in between to fight the heavier tanks and not have to wait until level 30 for a panzerfaust 60

There ARE other options:

  • Tanks
  • Field guns
  • AT mines
  • TNT
  • Explosive packs (which for the record I think need to be removed)
  • Molotovs (when used on the vents will set the engine on fire, as well as open top tanks you can outright burn the crew).
  • Aircraft

The options ARE there.

Don’t troll me man, I know you’ve seen my posts several times in the past. They are OP at the core, and there are many other options that are far more balanced to make use of.

Nah, I honestly don’t remember any of your opinions related to EP.

To try to keep it short and to the point:
Explosive packs make it far too easy for potentially any infantry to outright kill tanks.
The other options all have downsides that balance them out, such as

  • AT weaponry can only be carried by AT soldiers
  • AT mines must be planted in advance, or even if they are used as a reactionary measure, you still have to get point blank to use them.
  • TNT is essentially the same as AT mines
  • Field guns must be built by an engineer of specific squads, and are not very mobile
    etc.

Those all have drawbacks. The explosive pack however, can be used by any type of soldier, can carry up to 3, is thrown at a range, can 1 shot tanks, doesn’t slow you down to use, can be used on both tanks and as a grenade against infantry. There are literally no negatives to them.

This is why tanks so rarely push forward at all. Because everyone has at least a couple of these in a squad, if not a large number of them. They make taking out tanks FAR TOO EASY.

If they were removed, we would very likely see a lot more tanks push up and get out of the grey zone. Help support their ground troops to push objectives, and even act for breakthrough efforts if the enemy has managed to fortify.

I myself am very active with tanks. I really don’t have any problems with EP since devs removed “auto-cooking” of grenade mechanics.
Lot of players are just throwing from get go now. And you have planty of time to just “dodge” them.

But I agree they don’t have any drawbacks, instantly making other AT option less valuable/effective.

As I said, I think just outright removing them is the best option. If players want the ability to take out tanks with infantry, they can put AT soldiers in their squads, pack TNT and learn how to use it, or learn how to mark tanks for their air support to take out.

If all else fails, learn how to use smoke and move around it.

I really like them tho. I think better option would be just give only AT soldiers ability to carry them. Completely removing them from the game would be shame. At least for me.

Also, I don’t need a damn tutorial on how to destroy a tank. I’m level 36 in Berlin and I know how to use a damn anti-tank weapon. I’m complaining that the sturmpistole doesn’t even work against a miserable Stuart. I’m complaining that the tanks in Normandy they are a pain I have to grind a stupid amount of levels because of tanks that can’t fight it’s a shame that after the Pz4J they give me the PZ4H and the allies after the Sherman are giving them a damn Sherman Jumbo we are literally talking about a tank with equivalent armor to that of a tiger and at that time I am still using a sturmpistole, are you telling me to fight them with that? or tell me how you expect me to kill a damn jumbo if my panzer 4 can’t even pierce the side of its turret don’t tell me jokes please this campaign is totally unbalanced, I’m not surprised by the number of bots I find in games
