In this battle I was no hero.
But I did have the most engineering points.
And the engineering hero award goes to…p2 in our team who has only 2 points against my 20 points.
And the next best was 4 points.
So why is the engineer with only 2 points battle hero? 
pretty sure best engineer award goes to the person that got the most kills or points with engineers, not who got the most engineer points

yeah sadly it is based on the overall score of the engineer that gets rewarded rather than their efforts to actually being an engineer

But why is our p1 not the engineering hero then?
He has more engineering points than p2 and also has the most points overall.
Whatever it is, this sucks, most engineering points should be battle hero no matter the overall score.
i think cause it only counts points that you got while you where playing as an engineer

Is not first of the team, has to be 1% of your team, so if you have bot and deserter in your team, you can even arrive 2 for complete the task

just to explain math to you. what you meant is top 10%, 20%, 30%. aka 1/10, 2/10, 3/10, but you put 1% which is impossible to achieve in this game for anyone except first place.
