I’m not trying to be combative, but machine guns just don’t operate like this feisty gentleman is writing about.
It’s also relatively easy to tell when someone actually has firearm knowledge/relevant experience/hands on time V.S. when they’re either a biased military history fanboy or armchair/keyboard commando regurgitating things from YouTube.
Is he knowledgeable in the specific sphere of knowledge he’s curated? Sure. I won’t doubt that. I’m sure he could Whermacht speak at me all day.
Doesn’t change the general use and operation of machine guns, their points of failure, or practical limits.
I remember when I was that age and I’d say aaaanything to justify my favorite historical military forces alleged superiority.
Just scroll up to where he states that WWII era Whermacht machine guns are superior to modern day medium machine guns fielded by today’s militaries.

Oh, I need to point out, I didn’t state on my answer. But I did fired a mg34 befor (and a couple of other ww2 German fire arms Portugal still have) on a shooting range. A Portuguese contract one.
