Q. Will the new BR system influence what we can and cannot research?
For example in war thunder if I want to research a high tier vehicle effectively I have to use vehicles from +1-1 ranks. Is the same going to apply in Enlisted too or will we be able to research high br things while playing with low br weapons?
What about the M2 in the Pacific and the Normandy campaign? How would those be balanced? They are both unlocked at about the same level in the campaigns.
If you have 4 slots, they will be transferred and if you have some extra one(which goes more then usual limit), they will be compensated.
So Germany will have:
Moscow 20+NORMANDY 20+Berlin 18+SG 17=The total 75 infantry squads!
I can’t imagine how to select soldiers from them and adjust their equipment
Maybe we can empty the squads that are not in the combat sequence and so we can pick anything we want at the storage.
Thanks for answering, but that wasn’t the point of the question.
From the way it’s worded in the OP, I understand that if I bought extra slots for a faction in multiple campaigns, they WON’T stack; instead, I’ll get for that faction as many slots as I had in the campaign where I had the most, and the others will be refunded, even if I don’t exceed the max allowed number.
Is that correct of did I get it wrong?
Is there going to be a basic uniform for each biome that your guys will auto equip to when you get a match outside of their original theater?
So your Moscow/Stalin great coat guys will get a basic summer uniform when on a Berlin map or the other way around?
Normandy and Berlin don’t have 1:1 same options, plus early war and late war winter camos are different for both Germany and USSR. You say they wouldn’t go to the hassle of having 5 options but they did, that’s what’s in the game right now.
- How do you plan on balancing out BR of grenades vs. mines?
As it currently is, grenades are used far more often, are half the price, and have a bag that lets you carry 3 of them.
- Follow up question: Can we get a mine pouch finally?
I assume EACH grenade/mine will have its own BR to go into the mix, so those using higher numbers of them will need to cut back on other equipment to balance it out, which was one of the major issues people were having with the idea of mine pouches prior.
As someone wo DOES use mines, I hope not. I think that carrying more than one per soldier would lead to excessive abuse.
they would, and most likely will.
as, again, it’s summer 1944 & 1945. which, camouflage didn’t really differ between the whole war.
not in this game though,
they are pretty much the same.
which, since you are new, i highly suggest you to check all cosmetics:
( not 100% updated since i left it at the high caliber update. )
but there isn’t much of a difference.
because it would be pretty much dumb keep having 5 different set of cosmetics. ( with campaigns that aren’t even that away in terms of year from each other ).
hence, that’s why it’s going to be much handier if it’s going per biome.
is it historically accurate?
no, but this game never was meant to be in the first place.
( devs them selves posted the early mg42 squad with ““ss camo”” trenchcoat for moscow. )
therefore, i doubt it will differ.
therefore the biome selection it’s the more logical.
( not confirmed that will change nor remain, but it’s more the hope talking, because i’m getting sick of having to deal with the same handpicked, absolutely restricted and lack laster customization that we are stuck with from more than one year since the introduction of SG. and so the rest of community it seems )
Are the developers even aware what makes people desert a match such as unbalanced team lineups(e.g. high level players vs low level players or a team full of marshals and generals vs sergeants), bad map and mode(e.g. Armored Train is the most guilty on this one with 2nd being conquest then destruction) and this problem with only one side having 4 stacks of good players while the other team have noobs and bots? Instead of listening to those people who complain about deserters, I don’t think punishing them is a solution as it will only make things worse like even War Thunder couldn’t stop quitters after dying one time despite stuff like crew lock.
Another issue is the matchmaking like still no clear word where a team full of sweatlords and stacks vs noobs and bots could still happen with the same loadouts. Some guys like Paradivision suggested an MMR system even though I’m skeptical on the idea considering the system not being perfect.
I think I should bring this issue up too with the faction popularity as Germany will always be popular based on experience in games like War Thunder. I think the random faction bonus should also apply to players playing a significantly less popular faction depending on what campaign it is like late war Germany is more popular than USSR and US combined or What’s going to be used to be Tunisia Axis with the early war stuff + some Italian equipment. What’s your say on this issue?
I disagree. IF it works like I’m thinking it does, the character holding them would need to downgrade their other equipment in order to carry them (without making their BR go sky high). Given that MOST players opt for stronger firearms, grenades, etc, I don’t see many people carrying mines.
This brings me to the second part of my point. Currently, the game is balanced around each person carrying a mine, and making use of it. HOWEVER, only a handful of players actually DO use mines, meaning that the overall amount on the field is nowhere as many as it should be.
By giving the option of mine pouches, which again most players would not use in favor of ammo or grenades, those dropping mines can focus more on the defensive setup, rather than being a direct force. Therefore filling more of a support role that currently is not seen much at all.
Asking for clarification in regards to squads, I know it says that whatever squads you’ve unlocked you keep, but does this mean that a new player will not be able to unlock all the squads possible for say the USSR? If a player currently has maxed out Moscow, Stalingrad, and Berlin, they would have multiple rifle squads, multiple assaulters, etc, but what if you only maxed out Stalingrad, would you still be able to unlock all the squads originally from Moscow and Berlin in the new system?
A separate British tree is troubling, it should be fuzed into American tree since there is no true separation(until the first Egyptian Crisis), but should ways add a Union Jack flavour to all things Briton
as they explained it, veterans playing from before the rework in addition to weapons and vehicles will keep all their squads
so let’s say you have all the levels of the Germans and with that all the squads, after the rework you can continue to use them and you have for example 16 assault squads, 5 stuka squads or two tiger or panther squads that you can use in a single battle if you have slots
both veterans and all those who fail to complete a Faction at least once or who will start after the rework, will have new squads that are different from the current ones as already announced in previous dev blog
It won’t work like you think it will.
Equipment br is NOT cumulative: a soldier bringing 1 mine, will have the same br as a soldier bringing 3. Only the highest br equipment piece is taken into account. Also as devs said up… for now only weapons and vehicles will have br values…
Meaning turds who like to spam white phosphorus won’t be penalized.
What do you think about WP being flametroopers exclusive?
It makes no sense. Flamethrowers guys shouldn’t go around with grenades at all anyway. It’s as silly a concept as restricting sf rifles to radiomen…
I’d at least make those impossible to bring more than once per soldier. Just that would already help a lot.
