New gamemode/ mechanic "Combined arms"

This is a placeholder name because I could not think of something better to fit the theme. Anyway onto the new mode:

Starts the same as invasion utilizing airfields unique secondary objective system:

This secondary objective would unlock halfway after the match begins, with a few different options.

  • Option 1: Capture and hold zone for +100 reinforcements. Can be captured by either team. This objective would remain within 75-100 meters of the main objective. Standard capture time of 1 minute scaling to the amount of soldiers on the objective allowing for faster capture time.

  • Option 2: Destroy radio equipment, for +150 reinforcements. Defended by defending team. Objective would be no more than 50 meters from the main objective.

Train maps:

This would happen at the beginning and middle of the match.

Plant explosives on rail cars +100 reinforcements. Only available on train maps.

Option 4 (can be used on a variety of game modes/maps): Destroy enemy Ammunition Caches +200 reinforcements. This objective type has similarity to destroying radio equipment. But with 3 objectives 20-30 meters apart maximum. With 60% of the time needed to guard each explosive until it goes off. All three must be destroyed to complete this objective. In the event both teams destroy one of the areas, points go to the team that destroyed the most. (Good on king of the hill style maps, targeting in the middle of the three capture zones)

These are just a few ideas to help spice up the existing game modes or add variance of the different game modes that can be played.

I think it’s a good idea and may give longevity to the game. If they implement a new mode like this one, clans and ladder system to go along with it they might possibly double their player base.

Exactly, This is aimed at adding a little more variety to the missions so it’s not the same old same old. It also keeps things basic enough that players can understand it, it would have a higher chance of being able to be coded while maintaining a more bug-free environment.

Because the four to five modes we have in this game get old when you play them hundreds of times. Doesn’t matter what faction, And this would be a good stop gap to keep things from getting as stale until events like breaking dead, Titans rise, or others come around for their yearly event.

This would also attract new players, and keep the attention of the existing players. It wouldn’t be too difficult if variance were added to indicate if it’s a special version of that mission like destruction invasion for example. It’s mainly just reusing already existing content and doubling down on using it while expanding the game modes to help keep things fresh with minimal work needed from the devs compared to something completely new. Aside from using game modes that are in every other game such as capture the flag.

I was thinking maybe a few seek & destroy maps maybe? I know that adding ladders,chat and clans will attract new players

That’s a perfect way for people to not only find others to play with but earn a ton of silver
