New class

USA Rifle Squad 1942-01
After seeing this image, I had an idea, instead of nerfing grenade launchers, why not restrict them to a specific class? A new class, we can call them explosive specialists, or whatever, they are limited to one person per squad, they can even have their own squad like anti-tanks and be limited to three people, I would love to hear your ideas about this class.

impact grenades were nerfed as well so I dont see why rifle grenades should be suddenly spared.
rifles grenades are considered toxic as they are regardless of how many players are abusing in the match so limiting them in numbers is unlikely to solve the issue, a more realistic option would to add your idea with new types of rifle grenades into the game as well that are less toxic.

smoke rifle grenades, time fused rifle grenades and AT rifle grenades (on BR2) could be useful.

Yes they are powerful weapons that don’t require any skill, personally I rarely use them because I believe they are unfair, but there are so many powerful weapons in this game, has anyone ever suggested nerf the MGs? Or the SMGs? Because they are more powerful than rifles? No! Because you can’t have a 9 man squad with a 100 MG42, but you can have a 9 man squad with 18 grenade launchers, that’s a total of 54 grenades!

they did! and for a long time automatic weapons used to have insane high recoil to nerf them, but it didnt work.

Oh, so I think the only way out for this community is to nerf grenade launchers.

I feel a Grenadier squad should have more than 3. I think 5 to 6

Yes, 6 or 7 soldiers, but only 3 grenade launchers, or even less.

I disagree. I mean 5 to 6 Grenadiers. Since their primary weapon IS their gadget. Sure you have a grenade launcher but most of the time you’re using a standard Kar98k or M1 Carbine

I really don’t see why we would need another gimmick class.

Just accept the fact that we can’t have anything fun. And basically anything that makes a “boom” will eventually be nerfed into oblivion. So that the run&gun sorts will no longer have to deal with anything they deem unfun.

I disagree, my idea is to prevent future nerfs and even make them a little stronger like before. If we are going to have more than three grenade launchers in a squad, we still need a nerf, although we can add some event and premium squads where all soldiers have grenade launchers, such as MG squads. Regular squads only have three MGs, but premium and event squads have five, although we already have an event squad specifically for them, the German paratroopers.

I look at is as since you cannot resupply GL you need as many as you can get. Once you use all of your grenades you’re left with your basic weapon.

Yes by reducing Assaulter Squad cycle spam but cycle spam would hurt too many people.

I have no problem with grenade launchers, I’m against their overuse, they shouldn’t be nerfed, they just need to be more limited, nerfs hurt the variety of the game.

Okay, dude.

Restriction is a nerf.

When the game updates in three days grenade launchers are getting a substantial nerf to their fragmentation. Lets see how people feel about GL balance after that before proposing different nerfs.

A lot of the ingame rifle grenades had fuses irl rather than exploding on impact, so they could change them to have fuses and act as long range frag grenades rather than adding new ones. And maybe limit the anti tank rifle grenades that actually do explode on impact to anti tank soldiers.

Restrict grenade launchers as well as a player only being allowed to bring 2 flame squads or less

I’m not sure about the flamethrower team, I think they’re very balanced, neither too strong nor too weak, although I think anyone would be doing themselves a disservice if they tried to use more than one flamethrower team, as they’re useless in half the maps.

And of course I have another idea for this particular class, they are able to carry some TNT like the guerrillas, also like the guerrillas they have a special ammo bag, they have a special grenade launcher box that carries up to 5 grenades, and of course they are not able to carry a second weapon.
they can be added to some squads, and of course a squad of their own.
