New Campaign suggestion - Battle of France (1940)

When playing enlisted i really enjoy early war campaigns where troops use mainly bolt action rifles. So i just had a thought about a new early war campaign - The Battle of France from 1940.
The campaign would take place in Eastern France and would consist of 3 nations : British (infantry and aviation only) + French VS Germans

For the first thing i thought about tanks that would be available as i planned them to be the core of the new matchmaking system i came up with in 5 minutes so that stock tanks wont meet top tier non-penetrable beasts like it is now with panther and jumbo on normandy. The idea for the system will be in a separate post.

Stock tank : AMD.35 (allies) VS pz.II F (axis)
Tank 1 : AMC.35 VS pz.III E
Tank 2 : R.35 (SA38) VS pz.35(t)
Tank 3 : Char D2 VS pz.IV C
Tank 4 : B1 Bis VS Stug III A

What do you think? What would you change? Would you like it in the game or would you like to throw it into the trash?

i really want early france campaign, though it was very quick victory for germans, i can imagine vehicles like hanomag appear there , but balancing this would be a damn challenge

I have an idea for the balancing but it may be complicated.

I would change this to H38 as they had more of them than R35’s.
And also early Panzer 38(t) would be more appropriate as they really shined in this campaign in Rommels 7th Panzer Division.

Yeah thats a good idea. I chose the R.35 because of the weaker armor so that it wont be invincible but adding the pz.38 it balances out.

I’d love to play such a unique campaign. I’d even endure the usual usa retard saying “muuuh french only surrender” to play as the faction that sacrificed itself to save the Brits.

This is one campaign and the Pacific that I would like to see. Its rarely mentioned and the French would be something that aren’t covered very often. Making it to level 40 would be very hard and the top rifles would be bolt actions but it would be fun. Problem is though it would split the player base, mainly the axis, more

They will find a way how to squeze in some semi-autos. French had some prototypes of Semi-autos by that time, and Germans for sure had some too, soo i woudnt be surprised to see them there.

Germans could get some captured weapons maybe like the polish kbsp wz.38 M and czechoslovak ZH-29 both already ingame. It would make the campaign still mostly bolt action based but would also give an alternative. Also we could get the non-scoped version of gewehr 98. The French would possibly get the Fusil Automatique Mle 1917.

I really hate getting into fantasy land stuff which is exactly what all of those would be. Reminds of battlefield 1 or COD

Yep, it is battlefield stuff. I would love to have only BA rifle campaign, love those things. But i dont have really high trust with devs after thing we have already in game.

Yeah I really wouldnt play it if it was automatics and semi autos everywhere. Might as well just play Berlin at that point

Lol yeah, i just started Berlin, and it is auto spam, still love to slap those players with my BA rifles.

And in Battle of France would main France just for MAS-36, love that rifle, even when lot of players hate it.

Those who dont like the MAS could use the Lee-Enfield or some other SMLE variant the Brits would have so i think its a win-win situation.

I mean 2 million allied soldier casualties. Sounds like a battle to me
