I think there would even be Lebel 1886 M93 we already have in Berlin, soo they can use that, also French had i think 3 main rifles during battle of France.

i am sure that even in a possible spanish civil war, both sides would end up using ar15

Yep youā€™re right. From what iā€™ve found they had the Lebel, Berthier, MAS and that semi-auto rifle lets just call it the Fusil.

Also it looks like the Fusil could hold a bayonet just like the Lebel. That would make it the first semi-auto in the game with the bayonet i think.

France was defeated in 6 weeks in 1940 but there were a lot of fights and heavy casualties on both sides, german and French. French army is very interesting, regular army, elite and colonial troopers as well. For those who donā€™t know, french had 300 000 men killed in combat in ww2 (same that USA) :

  • norway intervention 1940 (France + Brits vs germans)
  • invasion of 1940
  • free troops of the Gaulle 1940-1944 (they were 75 000 french fighters in the campaign of Tunisia for example!!! Almost as many as germans=80 000) : they fought in the campaigns of Afrika/sicilia, Italia
  • landing of Provence (Aout 1944), battle of France/Paris
  • 1944-1945: free french army +French army returned (new governement)=fights in France and invasion of Germany with allied troops.

France is a must be. It would give visibility and originality to enlisted in comparizon to all the ww2 games that think that they were only 5 countries fighting in ww2 (URSS, USA, Brits/Japan/Germans). We would like to see France of course but also Finland, Romania, Hungria, Chinese, colonial troopsā€¦ All that with accurate uniforms of course!!!

yes but i think they have to improve the 4 atm. i would love to see a campaign italy vs france hill maps ect would be something new.

Iā€™d love to see proper French and British infantry slugging it out against the Germans (with PROPER FUCKING UNIFORMS AND GEAR).

MAS-36 and MAS-38 would be soo cool to see on a wider scale. Maybe even a few RSC-1917ā€™s just so thereā€™s a cool semi-auto to grind for.

Iā€™m pretty sure they would even find a way to squeeze in semi-autos if they made a WW1 campaign.

In fact, I did some research, and I think France can go to 40 levels quite easily, especially if you include BEF.
For instance, I have 4.5 Differents BA/SA Rifles (The 0.5 stands for the semi-auto Mas 38/39, or Mas 40 that was sent to mass production in May 1940, and lately reused to create the MAS 44), 5 SMGs, 3 LMGs, and shit tons of heavy armaments (tanks, cannons, planes, etc.)
I think France is more interesting for a campaign than Finland, Greece, or even China because their armament is so different of others.

Maybe Iā€™ll make a documented suggestion when I have the time forā€¦

Well, surely uniqueness of Chinese is not large as French: most of domestic products were based upon German weapons.

In that time, French had one of the strongest army of the world and they had lots domestic-design unique weapons. It sounds very attractive for this game, and even if thereā€™s any problem devs can took weapon from BEF. I want to play them!

The largest problem what I think is German. We already playing them in Moscow, Normandy and Berlin campaigns. Even Tunisian axis, half is German. To be honesty, Iā€™m tired to playing German armyā€¦

yes but in 1940, there could be different equipment, different tanks for the germans also

I want more faction with weapons join the game. But i dont want more battles to spread the players. I want PvP not PvE

Generally itā€™s similar to Moscow (but they canā€™t use captured French weapons)

It would definitely be interesting to play as Germany on the offense. Aside from Tunisia (which is mainly Italy if weā€™re honest), there arenā€™t any campaigns that are even 50/50 Germany attacking/defending.

Iā€™ve heard itā€™s 50/50, but I havenā€™t had a single Germany attacker game on Moscow in ~12 games. I do play on console so idk if we get different odds.

It is the fault of the rotation of the maps but the campaign is 50/50 in both attack and defense

one idea for a late game unlock instead of semi autos would be more powerful bolt actions-reliable oneshots

I guess what I was trying to say originally is it would be cool to get a campaign where itā€™s a 90/10 attack/defend ratio for the Germans, like the US in Normandy, or USSR in Berlin, rather than just 50/50.
