According to wiki, M8 HVAR has about 3.5kg of explosive material. So why the fuck does it have a similar killing potential to the 250kg bomb?
I was patiently waiting for some change but it seems devs have no idea about this.
It seems that explosives nerf didn’t affect rockets nearly as much as bombs (if at all).
Here you have a video of a match that made my patience run out. It’s mostly jankees bombing but german rockets are also stupid strong for the mass of explosives the have.

I counted about 10 airstrikes in a recorded half of a match. It wasn’t any different in the remaining half. I have pre-bombnerf Normandy flashbacks.
And while we are at it, can we please finally get a way to effectivelly counter aircraft?
but i agree that rocket spam is too much… idk why fighters and attacker planes both have rockets. it gets too much when you have skilled players in both fighter and attacker plane just spamming rockets everywhere…

Their penetration and damage are overstated by a factor of 5-7.
The M8 in WT cannot penetrate the Tiger E even into the roof. It only has 24mm of penetration.
I made the tests and will post them on Monday when the developers come out of sleep.
It’s even worse when you consider that the angle of impact would effect the pen value, and they would need to actually hit the tank, and the M8 was not afik a HEAT round, the HVAR had HEAT rounds and HE, the later would be basically useless against tanks, and the HEAT round would again need to hit the tank and do so at a favorable angel, irl as I mentioned elsewhere earlier the statistical probability in real life of hitting a tank was astronomical.
But… in game, I think this is over kill, it’s already comically easy to kill tanks with any plane that has a decent size bomb on it
Granades are to weak.
Explosive pack shockwave should be more deadly in closed spaces.
Artillery should be able to hit tanks on beaches of Normandy to cut off reinforcements.

They kill a tank with a touch. It couldn’t be easier.
The M8 and HVAR pierce the frontal armor of the tiger and panther and kill everything inside.
Although using the means in WT they kill 1-2 people per hit.

So mini nukes against infantry and rather ease to use laser guided missiles against tanks ?

I played my Normandy Axis for the first time in a couple weeks last night (I’ve been pretty much just playing Berlin) and oh boy let me tell you the plane rocket spam was absolutely out of control. I’m not sure if it’s just the night I was playing but the moment I got spotted in my armor a swarm of bombs and rockets just came my way
What!?!? Mate there’s enough counters against Tanks already plus rockets especially allied rockets already absolutely demolish Axis armor they absolutely do not need to be buffed
No, just make them good against tanks and remove the some of the infantry killing ability. Make every rocket be able to oneshot any tank, remove dispersion, give the the biggest rocket in the game, the WFR, the radius of a frag grenade at most and scale everything else to that.
Oh no buddy, soon their missiles will stop penetrating tanks.
