Need more stamina and able to run slowly even after stamina ended

the system that exists now, where all riflemen start with the sprint speed perk

what about it
alpha was diffrent

I answered your question.

what question? quote it

this one?

How does giving a single soldier a sprint perk provide a dynamic movement system where you make a choice within the match (not respawn screen) to trade something for more speed?

As as it stands now the engineer is actually faster than the rifleman due to superior base stats for movement
(engi has +2 movement, while flametroopers has +3 vitality, for example)

I don’t see anything suggesting engineers could have better base stats. Last I checked they had identical base stats to riflemen, but while riflemen have higher sprint speed, engineers get another inventory slot.

Here’s your dynamic movement system: press Y until you’re controlling one of the riflemen in your squad. You’re now trading weapons and/or utility for speed.

Not all squads would have riflemen, and riflemen are still slower than engineers. You can see the stats on the bottom left. Note that the engineer gets a speedboost with the hammer out, unlike the radio troopers, which would in theory be faster but in practice are slower due to weight.

+1 vitality and speed is also was riflemen get.

And if not all squads have riflemen, that’s the fault of whoever made the squad. It’s like if I deliberately left assaulters out of a squad and asked for my riflemen to get SMGs.

But they do not get the movement buff when you are holding out your hammer, which is higher than the speed buff of the rifleman.

If that buff actually exists, it should be removed per all the other posts in this thread.

It’s not as much as a direct buff, more like a result of the weight-based run speed and the hammer being the lightest item you can bring out

Honestly, I don’t get this whole opposition to having a lighter object in hand. There are several games that implement this without actually stating it (Call of Duty and CSGO being the most popular). Not to mention many other games that run an unrealistic banzai charge that makes you run faster than someone sprinting mechanic (RO2 and BF1 for example) and I’ve never heard a single complaint about either. Any time I spawn in for my first match in a shooter, one of the first things I test is if different weights affect run speed, because there almost always is some way its implemented.

It doesn’t make any sense.

If the devs want to balance against heavy weapons like machine guns, which I assume was the intent, they should take the weight of your entire inventory into account rather than just what you’re holding.

I think he’s just trolling, Shanghai_Shrek.

And the purpose of having this mechanic is as tcat has stated previously, its to give a risk/reward that allows you to move slightly faster but means if you’re caught you’re dead. They also do calculate off of inventory weight unless they’ve changed that since I’ve last played

Why are you even posting if you’re not playing the game?

He used to play a lot. He still knows a lot about how the game used to be and, of course, he is free to give his opinion. No need to call him out for that.

What are you his alt account or do you just take it upon yourself to speak for others regularly? I didn’t say that anyone couldn’t give an opinion. I questioned why he gave it if he isn’t playing. I think there’s a need to call him out. If you’re going to give your opinion or thoughts you should be accountable for them. Quite frankly, I don’t think anyone should put stock in the half baked opinion of a person who wrote they quit or will quit if they don’t get their way.
