Omfg, please do not mess up the whole linguistics because of the usage of the latin alphabet (as I said :D). German, English, Swedish etc.are (indO)germanic languages, while French, Italian for example are romanic languages. There was a long development, which lead to the modern common usage of latin letters which does not “romanize” the language but generalizes the “visualisation” - scripture.
Edit:
Though e.g. German, English, French etc. use the same (latin) alphabet, there are minor differences. Many language have very own specific letters or signs like the german “ß”.

Yes, the translator doesn’t really work well, at least not for Darkflow (which btw is based in Latvia so they use latin alphabet). You probably don’t play in English, but just as an example, you don’t say “the angle of the inclination of the surface is too large”.
Another example is in one of the last devblogs, in the description of the Gerät 03 squad they translated Russian word бойцы as fighters, even though this soldier class is called trooper in the English version.
Or the PPD-40 DSZ from the Berlin CBT pack. Its describtion says that it is from “far eastern shipyard”. The problem is that it is a former name of the “Zvezda” shipyard - previously it was known as “dal’nevostochnyy zavod Zvezda” (дальневосточный завод Звезда), so you don’t translate it.
That’s the reason why I play in English in spite of Polish being in the game - it’s even worse.
