Even if it’s demostrated before me, how do you know the gun’s actually high quality and not some piece of trash?
Because I watched him use it… and you can watch several other people use it as well. Nothing about it is intuitive, and even other commenters here have posted about its 20lb trigger pull for double-action. It doesn’t even compare favorably to other pistols of its day. The Colt SA comes to mind, but I will give you credit on the Cylinder Gap solution the Nagant brothers arrived at. Here is a decently balanced article about its flaws and virtues that EVERYONE on this thread should read:

The colt SA doesn’t even come close to the nagant in terms of usefulness. If you seriously think it’s better, then you’re kinda weird. The nagant compares very well to revolvers of it’s age. What killed it were semi-automatic pistols.

Tula Tokarev is more convenient to handle.However, the mauser has two more bullets in the clip (exactly one kill in the end).
This one is probably superior to them all:
They are all surpassed by the four-barrel silicon pistol from Corsairs 2. xD
Btw in the 19th century, what kind of pistols were not.There were even pistols with more than ten barrels

The mauser also seems to load quicker. And I like it a lot more design wise.
Overall, I’d say the mauser is better, but it’s very close.
The mauser is pleasantly reload. But the TT has a much more convenient form and sight for shooting.
Not the case for me.
Perhaps it is the fact that the Tula Tokarev is my favorite gun. Although I like the Mauser. Well, in any case, it’s your opinion and your taste.
