MP 717(r) should be moved to BR 4

I don’t think they would be willing to disclose how exactly their bots are programmed, potentially distorting the organic gameplay.

you wont find official source on it. but you can abuse it yourself. find a spot where you can break vision with enemy get few kills and they will start to look at you, break vision again and they will ignore you.

this is how i managed to do this in regular MM with only svt38.

Oh Im not worried about abusing the bots. they are dumb. I just like to understand how everything works

For example Im almost certain (as far as experience can be) if you frag the leader of the AI group (the player), they are more likely to flick kill you. But if you target the bots first and leave the player till last…they are generally oblivious

ever seen that rogue AI break tether and bee line with a hard on for a player hidden in a building? (ive seen up to as far as 100 meters away)

like i said aggro meter. there are some actions that increase it and ducking behind cover resets it.

staying in visual range of bots, shooting them, killing bots/players, getting close to them all increase aggro meter, until they snap and aimbot kill you.

not really. but that could also be due to bug, so cover reset doesnt work behind some objects. sandbag should always work.

I dont specifically know how to replicate it. But Ive have seen it quite a decent amount. It might be worth noting that Im am one of “those” that individually command my bots…so my tether range is further, the are less concerned with moving so they shoot more, and it triggers some wierd behaviour like the heat seeking AI

i have seen weird behavior of bots, but usually i dont study them cause game and bots are bugged as hell, so idk if it is cause of map and broken pathfinding, bugged structures where you arent hidden from bots or there is some other logic in bots.

such things would be needed to be studied in replays and i cant be bothered with it.

Yeah ADS and looking at a bot raises your “threat” level. It used to be really bad, I had some clips on my old PC where I would ADS at a bot that was >50m away running perpendicular to me and it would immediately stop and face me and start shooting until I stopped ADSing. It is not as bad now, but they still get aggroed by ADS. If you run into a room full of bots (and get lucky enough to not be auto meleed), you can kill a lot of them quickly by hipfiring because they won’t react, but if you do the same and ADS, they will all target you and you’ll only kill a few.

It’s why you will see so many sweats running around hipfiring, bots are less likely to react, even when shooting, to you so long as you don’t ADS. It’s also why in maps like River Crossing or Bulge you will have bots beaming you from the bushes/grass if you ADS and look their direction. They don’t perceive foliage so your ADS agro beam locks them onto you.

I have had this happen, but, from memory, it’s always because I ADS’d and was trying to shoot them from the APC first. If I just sprint at it without shooting, I can usually get there safely (and just hope they don’t hop out and auto-melee me lol)

Helpers have at least confirmed the sound based aggro and ADS based. But none of the in-depth mechanics.

We just know that crawling is quieter than crouching which is quieter than walking which is quieter than sprinting.
