Or just use submachineguns, like everyone else.
There’s a reason why after ww2, everyone pretty much moved away from bolt-action rifles except for specialist/reserve roles.
Lives are worth peanuts in this game, and the capability to efficiently wipe swathes of enemies takes priority over one-shots if the bullet hits.
I would actually propose that we discuss the power of the PPS43 in general, didn’t the community not too long ago agree that it is actually even much better than the MP40?
By that logic the PPS should arguably move into BR3 without the MP40 right?

That was a debunked thread made by German mains who were upset the Soviets had something capable of being competitive. The PPS SMGs are NOT better than the MP-38/40 guns.

They do not by any means have the same stats.
Completely different caliber, velocity, dispersion, hit power, RoF, reload time. Every single stat is hardly comparable. Especially when considering the PPS has worse control and accuracy at longer ranges where the MPs you can chug along follow-up shots with much better control. The MP-35 is currently an absolute powerhouse in this regard on top of boasting extremely high hit power for no reason at all.
So what are the stats of those guns then, I mean there must be a logical way to compare those weapons right? Just saying one is better than the other isn’t gonna get uns anywhere then.
Someone needs to devise a repeatable in-game test to run weapons through so we can look at the real performance of weapons instead of arguing about numbers on a spreadsheet. Something like getting into shootouts at various ranges in different environments

i mean it already rare enough to play russian low br since br3 gamble for russian suck and beside if they got lucky enough to get br3 i say let the russian enjoy it they got lucky
Yeah like both players starting to fire at each other at the same time at different ranges and to see from 10 out of 10 times who drops first.
For SMGs this seems like a reasonable approach.

Your Soviet bias is showing, PPS-42 and especially pps-43 completely dominates all Axis smgs up to BR4, and mediocre mp38/mp40 can’t compete against them unless you are at longer ranges since both have higher accuracy with lower rof. Mp38 and mp40 got downtiered for a reason, FNAB is absolutely trash that got shit on 24/7 by undertiered PPS-43.

I am a German main who wants the game to be not always heavily favored towards the Germans.
The MP-35, Beretta M38 and its variants completely blows the PPS guns out of the water. The MP-35 in particular having Thompson-level hitpower for no explainable reason at all and stupidly low horizontal recoil despite being lighter and sporting higher muzzle velocity than the MP-40 and using the same ammo.
Still haven’t seen the reason for that.
Okay now I know for a fact this is just either an issue of skill or ignorance. There is absolutely nothing wrong with the FNAB.

You are completely delusional. PPS-42 and 43 are completely superior in every single way when compared to the mp38 and mp40 only exception is a bit more dmg per bullet and a tiny bit better dispersion (which is negligible), PPS-42/43 has higher rof, better velocity, on par reload speed, low recoil on par of axis smgs, same visual recoil, same ads speed, better recoil direction, more ammo. FNAB is so garbage that you will get killed by a bolties even at close range if you don’t always go for the headshots because rof is so damn low.
You should look at the objective facts and not fanfiction in your head.

Hu, is that true? Always though the PPS43 to be overall more accurate.
I was talking about MP38 and MP40 because morons keep saying the MP40 needs to be BR3 because it has like 0.2 faster reload and 1-3 better recoil and 0.05 worse dispersion which apparently makes it vastly superior.
