You can also nerf its reload time and increase it to 3 seconds.

Yeah, it definitely needs to be nerfed in some way before putting to BR2.
But I agree with the overall idea. There’s no need to have 3 BR3 BARs in tech tree

Yes, I hate putting those English MGs on American soldiers.
They could also nerf the recoil a bit, but not to the point where it would be much weaker than the MG13.

Now that US has to deal with always downtiering BRIII Japan, BAR M1918 on BR2 is indeed a fair step, but it has great ADS speed which should be nerfed before changing its BR.
first nerf ADS speed 0.65 → 0.3 (same as other MGs on BR2)
than move BAR M1918 to BR2

They could add a new version of the A2 BAR to the tech tree with 40 round mag, since they were tested but I don’t think adopted.
(But then again it would be thrown into BR 3, so you end up with 3 versions of BAR again in the same BR)

Gun lacks bipod making it lighter → make it heavier slower to raise for aiming.
Leave M1918 in peace, it’s in perfect spot now.
Then send the heavier M1918A1 variant into BR 2, after adjusting stats
(Just give us some kind of BR 2 BAR so I can storm Guadalcanal without having to use a Bren Gun)

This is also an interesting nerf option, but not by that much!
it would be the same as anyother BR2 LMG, except for MG13 which is the only MG with even worse ADS speed.
Any less ADS speed on BR2 would make BAR1918 over powered for its BR.

Well I think other nerfs could be better, we should apply a set of nerfs to that weapon, not just one heavy nerf.
but what other nerf would this gun need?
You showed that stats yourself, everything else is already reasonable for BR2.
Reload speed
and:
reload speed is OK for a 20 round gun

I’ve been saying this for quite a while, and DF continues to ignore the request. The allies simply don’t have a level two MG that is anywhere comparable to the MG13, and IMOP the only Soviet one is the BP RPK 1943, which you have to pay for and only comes with a 15 round mag. Even the Japanese BP Hotchkiss level two MG is superior to every level two Allied MG, but then again, you have to pay for it.
If I were running DF, I would drop the base 1918 BAR to level two and give the RPK a 20 or 25 round mag and they would BOTH be TT weapons. The German FNAB 43 would also be shooting anywhere from 600-837 rounds per minute where I see in searches, and left at level two. However, I don’t run DF and they have yet to listen to me, so ignore what I just wrote.
Ok, once someone listened to me, when I was asking about the promise that DF was working on letting we the players choose our own maps, but that was a long time ago, and we we’re still waiting, so IMOP, just more lip service.
When we’re told that DF is discussing it, that is a polite way of saying it is already DOA but we don’t want to listen to your wrath, so, we offer up our lip service to appease you.
